Everyone else had already ran ahead of him. They picked the Pokemon they had thought of for so long now. He, on the other hand, was too distracted to notice. Taking his time he looked around the lab, studying. It was a fascinating place and he wanted to take it all in. In due time he made his way towards the many tables that had small pokeballs resting on them. For a fact he knew which starter he was going to pick. Taking no time at all he waltzed over to a middle table and chose his new companion. Sterling called the tiny creature out of the device. In a flash of red a small mouse like Pokemon emerged. The cyndaquil looked up at him and quickly lit the flames on its back, showing off. Unlike most cyndaquil this one was rather bold.

Hope stared at the small Pokémon as it walked around. "Hey little guy, uh, would you mind joining me on my adventure? We could be the best of friends." She whispered to it. It stared right at her, their gazes interlocked now. The Pokémon lifted its head up higher, more proudly. Hope held her breath, was it going to say no? Finally the Pokémon nodded, and Hope squealed with delight.

When the Chespin nodded, Verilli gave it a small smile. "I should nickname you... I'll call you Pixel. Pix for short." The Chespin chattered happily. "Pixel it is! Welcome to the team."
