He sighed with relief when Kestrelpaw asked him if she could help. He smiled "Sure!" he then padded off hoping the she a car would follow close behind. He was glad that he wasn't alone but he knew that the two apprentices couldn't fight Thornheart of any grown cat that challenge them to a fight.

He thought about it for a moment wondering if he should just flat out tell Bitternpaw that he has been pretty nervous or just lie and tell the apprentice he was fine. He decided to lie not wanting to really open up about his feeling's yet. His smile got wider "I'm doing fine" he lied.

"do you smell that? it smells like a rogue."

┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ dusktail smiled as he looked up, noticing candy had come strolling down the alley. he swiftly hopped of the garbage can, his tail held high. "mm, no? I haven't really scented them lately. what do you need to tell them?" he asked, tilting his head in confusion.

┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ thornheart had been following a faint, stale oakclan scent trail for awhile now, and it was a good thing he had been. oakclan's scent flooded into his senses, making him wince slightly, but he used the energy he had left to stumble over the freshly marked oakclan border. he was dying, he knew, and perhaps this clan could save him. he had definitely made a bad reputation for himself by murdering one of their cats, but he did have something they wanted. the skinny tom dragged himself along, but eventually gave up as he collapsed, noticing he was closer to the new oakclan camp.

┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ minkpaw nodded, his smile fading as the grey she- cat mentioned the prophecy again. his ear flicked with slight irritation, he really hated talking about the prophecy, he didn't like being apart of it, he hated all the special treatment. "I really don't know windpaw," his tone was a bit harsher than he had meant, but he rubbed up against her comfortingly. "hey, how about we go hunting?"

She frowned when she thought about it she sat down and sighed. She then replied "Well this cat had told my to tell another cat named Shrikestorm that his apprentice was next" she looked up at the tom waiting for what he was going to say.

As he picked the pace the smell of a rogue hit him. He froze and looked around before turning back to Kestrelpaw and signaling her to follow him. He slowly moved towards the scent before he found a dying Thornheart infront of him. He froze and looked around not knowing what to do now.

He nodded agreeing with Bitternpaw "it is bigger" he then replied "I do like it here" his smile this time was actually real.

Shadefeather sniffed the air, an unfamiliar scent reaching his nose. He narrowed his eyes as he moved out of camp, his tail becoming more and more agitated. His nose twitched as he saw the sight before him, a cat on the edge of death, or so he looked. He looked up at the apprentice, taking note of him before turning back to the rouge. He pawed at the one collapsed on the ground, not recognizing him as the killer, due to his being starved, it changed a lot about a cat.
"Hey, you." His mew was gruff. "Wake up."

┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ dusktail nodded, his ears perking up slightly at the sound of one of his old clanmates names. "ah, shrikestorm is our deputy. well, their deputy anyways.." he said, looking down a bit. "what did this mysterious cat look like?" he asked, looking back up at her.

┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ thornheart looked up at the oakclan warrior that nudged him, his eyes half shut. he didn't have the energy to do much of anything, so he just lay there, his stomach grumbling. he felt like a helpless kit, how could he have let it get to this? but all innocent thoughts aside, he wondered if this warrior would take him back to camp, let the clan nurse him back to health, perhaps thornheart would finally be able to get a few steps ahead of everyone.

She closed her eyes and thought back to the moment and after thinking for a while she finally had it. She stood up "well, he was a large cat with amber eyes.....he also had a scar on his leg" she felt like some might not be true but she said it anyway.

He kept staring at Thornheart and could barely see him as the cat he was. He shook his head as his kindness kicked in he turned to Shadefeather "We should take him back to camp" he suggested.

Shadefeather looked to Vinepaw and nodded, leaning down and pulling the stranger over his shoulders and carrying him back to camp. He didn't speak, dippping his head to Vinepaw as he did.
"You may want to come with us, unless you're out here for an important reason." He suggested.

Windpaw shuddered as he rubbed against her, "Sure. But I need to ask Twistedjaw." she said smiling. Windpaw stood up, and padded to her mentor, "Twistedjaw, may I go hunting with Minkpaw?" she asked and smiled slightly.

Doveheart laughed, "Because I'm your mentor and I deserve to know!" she said and licked her apprentices forehead, "Now what's the problem." wolfpaw was like her kit, someone she could talk to if she needed. Doveheart has dreamed of one day being a mother, but never got to be, and wolfpaw is the only thing that reminds her of it.

Jayflight nodded and looked up, he closed his eyes and whispered a small prayer to StarClan. He had always worried when his apprentice went out, that a murderer would one day appear and kill him.
