choose something that would go with the wild
theme, unless your cat had begun as a kitty pet,

Tʜᴇ Cᴏᴅᴇ
~The Leader's word is law, and it must be followed.
This goes with the Healer and Second too, but the
Leader always holds the most authority.

~You may have friends outside of Genesis, but your
loyalty must always remain with Genesis.

~Elders, Mothers, and Kittens must be fed first.
There are no exceptions.

~A Learner is not allowed to eat until having hunted
and fed the Elders, unless given permission by their
Teacher or Leader.

~All rituals must be respected, and all required cats
must attend, unless stated otherwise by the Leader
of Genesis.

~If the last Second dies or is appointed a new rank,
a new one must be appointed before moon high that
day. However, the ritual does not have to be
completed until the fourth moon high.

Tʜᴇ Cᴏᴅᴇ ᴏғ Tʜᴇ Oʀɪɢɪɴ
~Healers may never have a mate or kits, to keep
the whole clan at an even.

~Healer Learners must recite their knowledge to
both the Healer and the Leader before becoming a
full Healer, and if not approved by both, will not
become a Healer for at least another moon.

Gᴇɴᴇsɪs Tᴇʀʀɪᴛᴏʀʏ
Genesis has a large amount of territory, starting with their camp–a small clearing of short grass and tiny clovers,
a highstone for meetings and ceremonies, and and entrance called the bramble fence in the middle of an
oak forest. Behind the camp there is a small amount of forest, that soon transforms into a small field
covered in hills. Beyond the field is a small mountain with a narrow path winding up the side, the one that Genesis
cats follow to speak to The Origin, their ancestors. At the very top of the path is the Pool of Secrets, where they must
place a single oak leaf in the water, then drink from the pool, to dream. It usually takes about two days to reach the pool
by foot. When a cat dies, they are taken to the Pool of Secrets by their kin, and buried under the small waterfall as their
final resting place. To the front of the camp is a river. There is a row of stepping stones in a shallow part of the river, where the cats can cross. Beside the river is a small dip in the ground, used for battle training. It is simply called the training hollow.The rest of Genesis territory is oak forest, the scent markers coming to a stop at the thunderpath. Just past is the Twolegplace, where the monsters are and the twolegs live. The cats of Genesis steer clear of this place, but there are a few
Loners who live here, and a few Kittypets.

Gᴇɴᴇsɪs Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟs
The cats of Genesis do not speak during rituals, as it is considered bad luck, and disrespectful to their ancestors.
Rituals are usually very personal, and usually only the cats involved attend. A ritual must be performed in the cave
beside the Pool of Secrets, so The Origin may hear and approve of what is said.

Lᴇᴀʀɴᴇʀ Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ
The Leader, Learner to-be, and chosen Teacher, head up the mountain to the Pool of Secrets. The Learner to-be
and the chosen Teacher must sit facing away from the pool, towards their Leader, with the ends of their tails in the
water. The Leader will lick the Learner to-be's face, from nose to the top of their head, then do the same to the
chosen Teacher. Both cats must then bow, lifting their tails from the water and placing each on the others back(The
Teacher's tail on the Learner's back and vice versa). The three cats must sleep beside the pool, then start the journey
home as soon as the sun begins to rise. The new Learner must lead the way home, and they may receive minor
punishment if they get lost.

Wᴀʀʀɪᴏʀ Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ
The Leader, Warrior to-be, and Teacher, head up the mountain to the Pool of Secrets. The Warrior to-be and the
Teacher must sit facing away from the pool, towards their Leader, with the ends of their tails in the water. The
Leader will lick the Warrior to-be's ears, from the base to the tip on both, then do the same to the chosen Teacher.
Both cats must then bow, lifting their tails from the water and placing each on the others back(The former Teacher's
tail on the Warrior's back and vice versa). The Leader and former Teacher must sleep beside the pool, while the new
Warrior keeps watch the whole night. If the Warrior falls asleep, they may receive minor punishment. As soon as the
sun rises, the cats must start their journey home, and the new Warrior has the whole day off upon their arrival.

Sᴇᴄᴏɴᴅ Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ
The Leader, Second to-be, and Healer must travel to the Pool of Secrets. The Second to-be must sit with their back to the pool, their tail in the water. The Leader then licks from the place between their ears to the base of their neck, and all three cats must sleep beside the pool. The new Second must lead the way back to Genesis camp in the morning. There is no punishment if they get lost.

Lᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ
The Second and Healer must travel to the Pool of Secrets. The Second must lay beside the pool, looking into the water. The Healer will lick from the base of their neck to the tip of their tail, then take their place beside the Second. The Second must place an oak leaf in the pool, then lower their face into the pool, where the Healer will hold them under until their nine lives are finished being given. It is believed that the spirits of The Origin give them endless air under the water, and if the cat must come up before the ceremony is completed, they have been rejected as Leader. If this happens, the Healer will act as Leader until they receive a sign indicating the true Leader, and the and the rejected Second will be exiled.

Hᴇᴀʟᴇʀ Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ
The Leader, Healer to-be, and Healer, head up the mountain to the Pool of Secrets. The Healer to-be and Healer
must sit facing the pool, with the Leader behind them. The Leader will lick the fur covering their spines upwards,
making it stand up. The Healer to-be must set their oak leaf in the pool, then the Healer must do the same. Both
cats will drink from the pool to dream, and as soon as the fall asleep, the Leader must lick their fur back in place.
When they wake up the next morning, the new Healer and senior Healer must touch noses with each other, then
their Leader, and head down the slope back home. The new Healer must show the way, and they may receive minor
punishment if the get lost.

Dᴇᴀᴛʜ Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ
All of Genesis attend this Ritual, and the whole group must trek up to the Pool of secrets. The deceased cat
must be placed beside the pool, their close family right around them, then the groups' most important cats-the
Leader, Healer, and Second-then the rest of Genesis. The close family take turns grooming the cat's pelt,
and then it is their fellow Learners,' Warriors,' or Elders' job to take their friend's body down to the resting place
behind the waterfall under the pool, and they must burry them. Afterwards, every single cat in the clan must
wet their left forepaw in the pool, then walk all the way down to the grave-without touching the ground with
the wet paw, and place their paw print in the dirt around the grave. After one night of mourning, all of Genesis
must return to their home, the group that buried the cat leading the way. There will be no punishment if they
get lost.

Lᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ Dᴇᴀᴛʜ Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ
When a Leader dies, they are not taken to the be buried under the waterfall at the Pool of Secrets like most cats. Instead, the Warriors must weave together a raft of mud, leaves, and sticks. The Leader will be laid upon the raft and placed in the river in their territory, with flowers and sweet smelling herbs covering their body. The whole of Genesis must attend this ritual.
