Ignis landed a few yards from Castor and set the buckets on the ground. Here's the water. He said, trying to keep any sign of weariness out of his voice. Not like two water buckets tired him out, but adding it to the other work he did today was something else. Still, he needed to at least look and sound ready for more work. That was the life of an apprentice, and the price to pay for a job in the science field.
A familiar voice caught his attention, and he turned his head to see Burn walk in. He had to admit, he liked the guard; he wasn't yet sure how he liked her, but he liked her. He wouldn't have been able to talk to her anyway, he was supposed to keep his trap shut. He did give her a subtle smile, though.
After Castor gave her an assignment and she left with Experiment 346 -he called her by the nickname she gave herself, Mirror- he watched her leave and accidentally let out a small sigh. When he got the chance to even sneak a word to 346, she didn't say much back. Of course, he, Ignis, was the one working for the big bad science dragon who did whatever to her.
