Ternfeather nodded, staring into his eyes. "I know. I knew he had a bit of a short temper but I didn't think he was even capable of this much anger... The poor guy. As much as I hate to admit it, mum and Icepath deserved it." She averted her eyes, staring down at her paws. "It could have been a lot worse, but it wasn't. Icepath suffered a few injuries, but he'll heal up. Mistclaw could have killed him, I could see that in his eyes."

[Keriae]

Ashfall nodded. "But why does mother deserve it? I know she shouldn't have eaten the catmint, but she wasn't responsable for her actions. I want to know why Mistclaw kept it to himself, pretending to forgive mother."

[Solanum]

"I agree, but she could have told him how far it went between her and Icepath. Mistclaw probably thought the same as the rest of us, that it was just harmless... Perhaps he had forgiven her for what he thought had happened, but what had actually happened was unforgiveable..." She sighed, looking back up at Ashfall. "Brother... I was getting quite excited, I would finally have the chance to have a father, but it didn't work out that way. Do you remember your father? What was he like?" She had just been left on the border of Snowclan amongst the roots of a tree... She couldn't remember her parents. She didn't even know that she wasn't Bramblestorm's until her mother had told her. "You could say the same thing about mother. Why had she kept the truth about me a secret for so long? It was because she had to."

[Keriae]

Ashfall nodded gravely. "I remember when I was a young kit, but then he didn't come back. I think he died in battle." He whispered.

[Solanum]

"I don't even remember my parents. Mother just told me that they left me amongst the roots of a tree on the border. I wasn't even a day old." She sighed, hanging her head, her ears drooping. "I thought that I'd have a chance to be in a real family, but I guess that is never going to happen..."

[Keriae]

"You will Ternfeather. I can feel it. One day you'll fall in love, and have kits." The gray warrior reasured his sister.

[Solanum]

"That isn't what I mean. I want a mother and father. I want to feel like a kit again, to do it right." She sighed, shaking her head. "But it will never happen now. I'm no longer a kit, I can't pretend to be what I'm not." She looked up at him, her bright yellow eyes, dull and riddled with sorrow. "So... Hows you and Faith?" Her voice was faint, barely a whisper.

[Keriae]

Ashfall looked at her."I haven't seen her in a while, to be honest." He admitted after a short pause. "The last time I saw her..... She asked me if I'd ever want kits, because she'd be happy to give them to me. I love her, and she loves me, but I'm worried. I' worried she could be laying somewhere, dead." He voice had lowered to a whisper, and his amber eyes were filled with negative emotion.

[Solanum]

Ternfeather's eyes widened in surprise. "She said what?" She smirked at her brother, chuckling softly. "Wow, you lucky guy. I'm going to be stubborn as hell, I don't want to sit around in the nursery for moons on end." She gave him a friendly nuzzle and sat back down. "It's okay. She'll be alright, you'll see. One day she'll come back to you as if nothing ever happened."

[Keriae]

"How can you be sure? I haven't seen her for three moons, since out warrior ceremony. She wasn't made a warrior. What if she ran away?" He whispered, his voice almost turning into a cry of pain.
