Mintpaw woke up. The light of dawn was slipping into the den. She walking to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a plump vole to eat.

Back story: Havestpaw was born with a twisted front paw, so it would be difficult to hunt or patrol or battle. After having to use herbs on her paw a bunch of time to stop the pain, it was then that Harvetpaw decided to become a medicine cat to help her clan mates from injury.

Featherfall woke up and stretched, yawning. She padded outside, then headed to the fresh kill pile, and chose a nice plump vole. She crouched down and ate it, eyeing everyone. She then walked over to Thundermoon, and nuzzled him playfully. "Hey" she mewed.

As Mintpaw nibbled on the vole, she thought about her past. It was sad. A twoleg took away her brother, Badger, and her mother was killed by a fox. Her dad had been killed by a passing monster when he was trying to hunt for her. She wanted kin. And all she really had was her role as medicine cat apprentice and Swirlleaf, the mentor who cared about her.

Mintpaw quickly finished the vole and went into her den. She grabbed some borage and went to Eaglefeather's den. She saw Eaglefeather leaving her den so she ran up to her.
