discussionxxx**Read Everything I will know if you didn't!**
xxxxxxxxxxxxxA sharp cry escaped into the crisp morning air. The owner was from a young kit name Isle, a silver stricken tabby tom. His mother licked him violently to get his lungs clear of mucus. He was a single kit. "Is he breathing?" a tom by the name of Shell mewed a mew full of hope. This was his father. "Like the whip of a mountains wind." the queen panted. Her name was Lilac. His mother. "His name?" Shell asked with a licked of his paw that he drew over his mates ear, flattening some fur. "Isle..." she mewed, "Like the island off the coast of the sea." she mewed with a wistful look in her eye to be out at sea on her boat again with her two-leg. Many moons later, with Isle now grown up into a strong young tom, he traveled the ocean with his mother and fathers owner. They had passed away from old age about a few moons ago and their owner had kept him all the time. But one day, while out at sea. Isle's ship was capsized when they hit a reef off the coast of a passing island. His body was whipped off the sternum of the ship and into the water. He struggled to get above the waves, his nose just out of the churning tides from the steady sinking of the ship until it settled at the bottom. His body was tired out and he was so far from the island. Miraculously he made it to the island. A small two-leg road could be seen from where he landed but his vision dazed before he could get up and head there. A loud mew came from a cat that was running towards him. A she-cat he would know to be Ocean. She was a pretty she-cat, a petite little thing. She had Russian blue fur with mesmerizing blue eyes. She was beautiful and Isle fell in love with her later on in life. They started a family together when they found a safe place in the forest to stay. May other cats from around the island decided to join their little safe-haven between the crooked-creek river. The band of cats slowly started to form until they gave themselves the name-'Island Cats'. After Isle had passed, they remained their group to Isleclan in memorial of their founder. But the story of Isleclan carries on. Will you join us?

All Tess's rules apply

Please be active. People with higher
ranks should be on every day. Please pm
me if your gonna be inactive for more
than 3 days.

Please no gary/mary sues!

Please create your own cat's forums!
Please put effort into them, as well! Like
nice coding, and don't just put like 3 words
for the personality/history [etc.] Try to make
their personality/history at least more than
5 lines for the history and at least a 5+
word personality.

Please make your cats realistic.
No rainbow fur color, no purple eyes,
and no ridiculous names like 'PaintedChair'
or 'PinkSparkles' please.

No being your own mate/crush
/apprentice or mentor please. Though
your cats can be past mates/mentors
/they broke up but they can't have a
relationship in the roleplay.

please try and disable your
signatures. It makes everything look much
nicer. Also try to make some coding for
your posts so it looks nicer c:! Though it
is not required it would be appreciated.

2 important roles per person
Please more than 1 lines. At least
try to get about 4 or 5 in there. I
understand if you have writers block
but please try not to have wb every
time.

keep it appropriate. No cussing or
swears. Only Warrior cat swearing
are alright to use. Though I will
sometimes accept hell, damn,
or crap.

Post as many cats as you can
handle. Please try and keep genders
even as well.

Fade to black when necessary.
ie: kitting, birthing, or any
extreme gore.

No spamming! I don't want
this thread to get locked for
spam.

Rudeness is not tolerated here!
I will take action and even ban
you from posting on this thread
for a few days if it gets that far.

Don't kill other peoples cat(s)
without their permission first!
that goes for drama as well!

There are also two types of warriors;
hunters/fighters and the gatherers. The hunters/
fighters are the cats who go out and hunt and are
on the front-line for fighting when there is some
fight going on if there is a dog, fox, badger, coyote,
etc. while the gatherers are the cats that build the
camp and do boarder patrols as well as the frontline
for whenever there are major storms and clean-up
time comes around. Normally only apprentices who
first trained as gatherers can become a medicine
cat apprentice. Fighter/hunter apprentices cannot
become a medicine cat apprentice. More info to
come in the 'about the clan' section.

The island where Isleclan inhabits is quite the large island. They have a fairly large chunk of territory on the island but there are still many other places on the island that have not been discovered by the tribe of cats. There is a fairly decided sized two-leg place off the south-east side of their boarder lines. There are many other dangers in the clans territory that they know about and do not know about. First of all, they know very well of the Old Two-leg's Barn Nest, but since that's a mouthful to say they just call it "The Barn". "The Barn" is the home of an elderly two-leg couple that have their grandchildren around every weekend to ride the horses on their lot. The horses are normally docile from a distance but if a cat is in a few foot radius, the slight kick from one of their hooves can break bones or kill a cat. Moving on from the barn, "The Cliff" is a very dangerous spot when there are high-winds or a storm starts to brew. "The Cliff" is located on the "West Mountain". A fairly high-elevated mound that leads to "The Cliff". There have been reports of cats hunting for mice and voles near the cliff-side and the wind would suddenly, drastically, pick up speed and drag the cat off the cliff-side into the dark-deadly, waters belong to their death. Another means of rocky cliffs is the "Rock Island". "Rock Island" is a bird-rich island with many types of birds and bird eggs there year-round. The "Rock Island" can only be reached once a full-moon and the clan-cats take it as a gift from the Divine-cats [Starclan cats] and sent out a patrol of 5+ cats to retrieve eggs and prey from the island once a full moon. Only a short period of time is available to get to this island when the tide washes away for only an hour, almost reaching the "Rock Island" in which only a short wade through chest-high water is needed to get to the island. The Island is fairly slippery due to the rocky-structure. In only an hour, the tide starts to wash slowly back in and if a cat is not quick enough, they can get caught in the steadily rising waters or get cause on the island until the next full moon. Next up is the beach that connects to Crystal Bay. The beach is a fairly safe place for the most part until night comes around. Raccoons, wild-dogs, and other cats raid the beach-side for anything that had come up from the water [turtles and crabs mostly] to seek shelter on land. In the day is another thing. The day time is a very safe time, though cats must be careful during high-tide so they don't get swept out into the ocean. When hunting for fish, a cat must be careful of their surroundings. Sharks, jellyfish, and other types of fish can severely injure, kill, or paralyze a cat which can all lead to death. This is the reason why most of the hunters rather hunt in the rivers even though the rivers don't hold as many fish. Next is the East Mountain. This mountain doesn't have many dangers besides the fact that many two-legs hike here and often enough, let their dogs loose when climbing the mountain like hill. Though thankfully this mountain isn't part of their territory. In front of the "East Mountain" is "Silver Pool", a pool of water fed by a water-fall that mysteriously comes from the heart of the "East Mountain". Every half-moon, the medicine cats meet here to share tongues with Starclan's Divine Cats [Starclan Cats]. And return after the half-moon. The trip overall takes 2 days to get there and 2 days to get back. About a mile and a half away from the Silver-Pool is the unknown "Ocelot Den". The Ocelots Den is a den home to a male and female ocelot with kittens on the way. They very much dislike the clan cats and try not to intervene with the clan cats but will attack a lone cat if they travel to close to their den. The den is located just inside the territory since the boarder is located on the beginning of the Crooked Creek near the den. There has only been one time when a clan-cats life was taken away by the ocelots and was a newly appointed apprentice who was out one night secretly going through the territory to get an advantage on the terrain over his siblings and got to the ocelots den and was killed by the two ocelots. The clan cats still don't know what killed the apprentice only that is was another cats scent. The ocelots also fluently speak cat-tongue due to them being cats but can slightly speak dog-tongue as well. About half a mile from the ocelots den is "Hawk Hill". "Hawk-Hill" is the lookout hill for the hunters/fighters. Normally a cat or two are positioned at the look-out hill for a little time each day around sun-down to make sure there aren't any dangers on the horizon for the cats while they sleep. Though this spot can be fairly dangerous around sun-high since hawks gather around the area searching for any prey. Now onto the more 'tame' places in the clans territory. The clan camp is located between a small split/island near where the fresh-water creek runs into the bay. Not many things can get to the camp which is why it is located where it is. A short pelt away is "Frog Pond". A decent sized pond home to many frogs. The clan-cats only use this prey source as a last resort due to the amount of two-leg kits that like to play around the pond of frogs. South-west of the camp is the Training Pond. The Training Pond is a pretty small pond with smaller, fresh water fish in it. This pond is used to train apprentices how to swim, fight in water, and hunt for fish. There is a small sandy patch near the pond where the apprentices practice climbing trees, land-hunting, and fighting. As well as building dens and gathering specific herbs and practicing easy wound treatment skills.
---

The camp is another thing. The camp is a fairly large sized camp and is surrounded in thick brambles and bulrushes. The medicine cats den has the main room in a large bush but connects to another bush which is the storage room. The nursery and the elders den are located right next to the medicine cat den. To the right of the den is a secret exit used normally by apprentices who wants to sneak out of camp or a warrior who wants to go for a nightly patrol without being questioned. The only problem with this exit is that most of the clan knows about this and isn't really kept as a secret to the clan so the guard cat often shifts to and fro from the entrance to the secret exit/entrance during their patrol. Near the exit is the leaders den/ the high-rock. This is where the leader calls for a clan meeting and sleeps with his/her mate for the night. Next to that is the deputies den where the deputies sleep and their mates. The reason they have their own den is due to the fact that there are so many deputies. Next to that is the entrance and next to the entrance on the other side is the warriors den. The warriors den is the largest den in the camp due to the large amount of warriors the clan holds. Since there are two warrior like positions, the den had to be much larger to support so many cats. And of course next to that den is the apprentices den. The apprentices den is like second largest den is you don't count the medicine cat den as a sleeping den. Next to that is the sun bathing rocks, the dirt-place, and the fresh-kill pile that has the drinking-stream near it. Lastly is the "clearing". The clearing is the largest area of the camp and is where most conversation and meetings happen. Basically everything happens in the clearing.
And that... was Isleclan.

[In-depth Description of the ranks in IsleClan]

Leader

The leader is the head of their Clan. Their personality is the same as their Clan's and describes how their Clanmates treat others. The word of the Clan leader is law, proclaimed by the warrior code, and all other Clan cats must obey them. They have their own den, and are assisted by a deputy/ies in their tasks. They are responsible for the whole Clan, calling Clan meetings, appointing cats to new ranks, and making the toughest decisions. The leader is always taken after by the second in command unless both died in battle, then the gatherers deputy will then be leader. Leaders can take on mates if they are male but is highly looked down upon if they are females due to the ranks tier.

Second In Command

The second in command is a warrior who is quite literally the second in command to the leader, aiding them in their tasks and replacing them immediately after their death or retirement. Also, when the leader is ill or unable to perform their duties, the second in command will take the leader's place until they recover, and they will take their place at full-moon if the leader is absent and cannot attend. They can also take on a mate if a male but is looked down upon if they are female due to the ranks tier.

Gatherer's Deputy

The Gatherer's Deputy is a warrior who is second in command to the Second in Command, aiding as the cat who replaces the second in command immediately after their death or retirement. Also, when the second in command or the H/F's deputy is ill or unable to perform their duties, the gatherer's deputy will take the second in command's or H/F's Deputies place until they recover. Over all the Gatherer's Deputy is in control of the gatherer's of the clan. Ordering them to patrols, to build things, get bedding, you name it. They are normally the head of these patrols and can take on a mate [Male or Female].

Hunter/Fighter's Deputy

The Hunter/Fighter's Deputy is a warrior who is second in command to the Second in Command, aiding as the cat who dices out patrols and replacing the gatherer's deputy or the second in command after their death or retirement. Also, when the gatherer's deputy is ill or unable to perform their duties, the H/F's deputy will take the Gatherer's Deputies place until they recover. Over all the H/F's Deputy is in control of the hunters and fighter's of the clan. Ordering them to boarder patrols, get prey, you name it. They are normally the head of these patrols and can take on a mate. [Male or Female].

Medicine Cat

The medicine cat is Clan cat who treats diseases and injuries, and who receive directions and guidance from StarClan. They have their own den in their Clan's camp, where they sleep, store herbs, and treat wounded or sick cats. Medicine cats are not allowed to take mates or have kits. Medicine cats have a special way of getting their full name, including that this ceremony is performed by the apprentice's mentor instead of a clan leader. The medicine cat decides the apprentices name due to something important the apprentice did. [ie: How Leafpaw found the Moon-pool so she was named Leafpool] The Medicine cats are very highly respected throughout the clan unless they take on a mate or have a lover.

Medicine Cat Apprentice

A medicine cat apprentice sleeps in the medicine cat den with the full medicine cat. Medicine cat apprentices get their full name at the Silver-pool when their mentor sees it right for them to become a full medicine cat. They also stay as an apprentice for as long as their mentor is still a medicine cat, even after they receive their full name, unlike warrior apprentices.

Most medicine cat apprentices take a liking of healing cats almost as soon as they are able to go outside the nursery or learn about basic herb and healing training as a Gatherers Apprentice. It is normally accustomed for only Gatherer cats to become medicine cat apprentices.

Medicine cat apprentices are taught about almost every healing techniques, such as how to care for a sick cat, or what herbs and medicines do. They are usually taught in the medicine cat's den, or outside the camp when they gather herbs or train as a gatherers apprentice. They also learn how to interpret signs from StarClan's Divine Cats. Even though Gatherer apprentices learn very basic healing, that is only to help with the gathering of herbs or if the medicine cats are not around or busy to help. Though medicine cats and medicine cat apprentices learn full medicine techniques. Gatherer apprentices and warriors should not preform these duties unless said by a superior.

After a medicine cat mentor is satisfied with their apprentice they are given a warrior name in a slightly different ceremony than a regular apprentice's. They are still known as an apprentice until the current medicine cat retires, or joins StarClan and the other Divine Cats.

Hunters/Fighters

Hunter/Fighter Warriors have been trained in the ways of fighting and hunting in addition to the ways of the Warrior Code. They are charged with the responsibility to feed and protect those cats who are elderly or unable to spend time out of camp. H/F warriors are held with the responsibility of border patrols, camp security, mentoring H/F apprentices, and food.

Warriors make up most of a Clan: each cat is, was, or will be a warrior (except medicine cats) unless they die before they become a warrior (ie: Swiftpaw). When a she-cat expects or nurses kits, she temporarily gives up her duties, but takes them up again when her kits are apprenticed. Although, sometimes this is not true, as some cats would rather stay in the nursery to help other arrivals of new kits (ie: Daisy and Ferncloud).

Gatherers

Gatherer Warriors have been trained in the ways of building and caring in addition to the ways of the Warrior Code. They are charged with the responsibility to build and help those cats who are elderly or unable to spend time out of camp. Gatherer warriors are held with the responsibility of building up the clan, watching for change of sea levels, patrolling borders, and healing/helping. There are normally much less gatherer cats in a clan than hunter/fight cats.

Apprentice Hunters/Fighters

A kit is usually apprenticed to a mentor at the age of six moons, the kit's rank normally decides on its body build, personality, and who the parents are. Mentors are assigned by the Clan leader after an apprentice ceremony (as H/F apprentices can only take on another H/F warrior as a mentor), choosing pairings based on seniority and whether or not the pair will be able to work together. The mentor is responsible for the training of the apprentice. After apprenticed, the apprentices and two or three other warriors, go to the Silver-pool to receive blessings and dreams from Starclan's, Divine Cats.

Apprentices train with their mentor whenever their mentor asks of them. H/F apprentices would do training in the sandy hollow and by the training pond. As an apprentice, a cat learns land and water fighting moves, land and water hunting, and becomes familiar with the warrior code. An apprentice is usually not mentored from their blood relatives because they usually go soft on their kin. After their mentor is satisfied with them and their skills, and after passing their final assessment, the apprentices are made into warriors after a warrior ceremony, and they keep a silent vigil watch overnight.

    Assessment ;;
An assessment is a test for an apprentice given by their mentor. When a mentor assesses their apprentice, they watch in secret as their apprentice hunts and judges how well they did. If it is their final test and their mentor deems the assessment a success, then they will become a warrior. Normally a H/F mentor assigns the apprentice to gather at least five pieces of land-prey and 2 pieces of water-prey by dusk. The assessment starts right when the apprentice gets up at sun-rise in the morning to go out for training.

Apprentice Gatherers

A kit is usually apprenticed to a mentor at the age of six moons, the kit's rank normally decides on its body build, personality, and who the parents are. Mentors are assigned by the Clan leader after an apprentice ceremony (as Gatherers apprentices can only take on another Gatherer warrior as a mentor), choosing pairings based on seniority and whether or not the pair will be able to work together. The mentor is responsible for the training of the apprentice. After apprenticed, the apprentices and two or three other warriors, go to the Silver-pool to receive blessings and dreams from Starclan's, Divine Cats.

Apprentices train with their mentor whenever their mentor asks of them. Gatherer apprentices would do training in the sandy hollow and by the training pond. As an apprentice, a cat learns very little land and water fighting moves, a lot of building techniques, some herbs, and becomes familiar with the warrior code. An apprentice is usually not mentored from their blood relatives because they usually go soft on their kin. After their mentor is satisfied with them and their skills, and after passing their final assessment, the apprentices are made into warriors after a warrior ceremony, and they keep a silent vigil watch overnight.

    Assessment ;;
An assessment is a test for an apprentice given by their mentor. When a mentor assesses their apprentice, they watch quietly as their apprentice builds a small den out of a bramble bundle, a den in a bed of reeds, and a safe den up in a tree, a small barrier/wall, and accurately distinguish 10 easy herbs. Each apprentice is shown with the necessary essentials to build the specific thing or things to distinguish. The assessment starts right when the apprentice gets up at sun-rise in the morning to go out for training and ends at dusk.

Queens and Kits

A queen is a she-cat that is expecting or has recently given birth to a litter of kits. Though known to be overly-protective of kits, queens usually are compassionate and kind, and in many cases they have been known to convince their mates or Clan leaders to take in cats in need of help.

Queens move to the nursery about a moon before giving birth, surrendering their warrior duties. They have their food delivered to them by their Clanmates as they become less mobile. A she-cat's pregnancy is just over two moons, after which she gives birth to the possible litter of one to five kits. The kits usually open their eyes soon, some almost from the moment born, and others in a day or two. Queens that have not kitted yet have no milk-scent; in contrast, those who have kitted have the milk-scent on them.

While kits are weaned at two moons, the queens remain in the nursery until they are named apprentices (typically around six moons) to ensure proper care and education. Sometimes - although it is very rare - a queen leaves the nursery before her kit(s) become apprentices. Also, sometimes they leave before all of their kits become apprentices, such as Rainflower.

When a queen is unable to produce enough milk to feed her kits, another queen who has plenty of milk to spare will help her nurse until the kits are ready for fresh-kill. Queens will also feed kits from outside of the Clan/If a kit is found that isn't an Isleclan known kitten.

Full-Queen

A full-queen is a queen who has had kits before that decides to stay in the nursery for the rest of her warrior days. A she-cat may request to stay in the nursery after her kit(s) are apprenticed, instead of resuming warrior duties though normally this will only be allowed if there isn't 1-2 other queens that always stay In the nursery. There are only allowed to be 1 or 2 full-queens in a nursery at a time to refrain from the number of she-cats away from duty at a time.

Elder

An elder is a Clan cat that has served his or her Clan faithfully, but has now retired. They are wise and are held in high respect by the other cats; their counsel and knowledge is sought several times even by Clan leaders, though they are often described as grumpy.

They stay in their den most of the day, and enjoy meeting new kits. However, they may leave the camp if they wish to do so, such as to take a walk to stretch their legs or to hunt.

Elders are to be held with the utmost respect from cats of all Clans. They have served the Clan well in the past as apprentices and warriors. During their youth, they took care of the elders of their generation. Now, it is their turn to rest, and the youth of the Clan is to take care of them, in honor of all they have done to serve the Clan.

Elders are often susceptible to many diseases and injuries such as green-cough and stiff joints. They are often treated by medicine cats/apprentices. They also are more than often tick-ridden, and it is the duty of the gatherer apprentices to use mouse bile to remove the ticks.[10]

Rouges/Loners/Kitty-pets

Rogue is the term used to describe the hostile and usually aggressive stray cats who do not belong to a Clan or Tribe and are not cared for by Twolegs.

Loners are cats living on their own who do not belong in any Clan, are not looked after by Twolegs, and are passive to the Clans.

A kittypet is the Clan cats' word for housecats, that Twolegs keep and care for. They are usually described as annoying and unaware to their surroundings.
