After finishing her vole, Dapplepaw padded over to the river to get her mind off of things. "Oh, hey Birchfoot." She meowed to her mentor upon arriving.

Birchfoot looked up. "Hmm?" he asked. He figured the apprentice wanted to train, so luckily his muscles were feeling better.

"Okay." Dapplepaw was confused by his request, but she trusted his judgment. She looked into the river, bustling with fish. Surly this would be easy. She thrust her paw into the water, claws unsheathed, but the fish had swam away by the time the made one ripple.
