The queen stood up and walked outside. She saw the newcomer Clockwork settle in the sand and fall asleep. She smiled softly then changed her expression to sadness at how much he looked like her mate. Her kits would have to grow up without a father... Her heart hurt and she lied down in the sand, small tears streaming down her face and falling into the sand below her.

The queen looked up and saw Clockwork. "Just memories... Nothing to worry about..." She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "My name is Lullabynight. Your Clockwork right?"

The queen flattened her ears and looked down at her paws. She mewed with a sad sigh. "M-my mate is dead... He died protecting me from a rival pack soon after I became pregnant... That is why I was crying a second ago..."

She looked back up at the tom. "Yea... Thanks... But they will be so lonely without a father... I can't take care of them by myself... They need a father..."
