Brightpaw watched as Feathefrost checked Pebblefur's injuries, and she took a bite of the rabbit, then nudged Appleblaze. "I'm sorry," she meowed, "it must be hard, seeing her like this." Brightpaw had never lost a littermate, as she'd been the only kit in the litter, and she could only imagine how much it hurt.

Brightpaw glanced up at Feathefrost, her heart sinking. She'd assumed that this might happen, but it still hurt. She stared at her paws.

Appleblaze looks with sad eyes at the medicine cat and leaves the den and heads towards the camp entrance.

Appleblaze sighs as she starts to climb a tree. She saw something red flash at the bottom if the tree but ignored it and continued to climb. She heard something rustle and looked everywhere but saw nothing. She sat down on a branch and closed her eyes thinking of Pebblefur.

She lied unconscious, her breathing shallow but steady.

She awoke in little pain and looks around. She was saddened no cats were with her. She stood painfully and leaned against the wall. It had been a few days since she was attacked and her clan thought she wasn't gonna make it. She slowly walked out into the sunshine for the first time in a while and sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws.
