Littleivy looked at Whisperpool then down at the patrol. She looked at the river, then the cats, then the badgers, understanding their plan instantly. "They will, we will watch them and help them in any way we can, but I'm sure they will." She meowed, glancing at the cats, and Shadowthorn. The black tom's destiny twisted in ways she couldn't yet explain and his fate was shrouded in shadow.

Hollybreeze stood up and shook her fur before picking up Briarpaw by the scruff. The apprentice was small enough for Hollybreeze to pick up, but she had trouble. "I will carry her back. Nettlecoat may need to look at her." The warrior mumbled through Briarpaw's brown tabby fur.

Shadowthorn nodded to Hollybreeze before looking at the sky. He'd be meeting with Sunfall in the training hollow shortly. The tom flicked his tail as he lead the others back to the stepping stones and back to camp.

Shiverpaw's eyes glittered with excitement. "I want to be a warrior at the same time as Thicketpaw!" He exclaimed. "Can my training be delayed so we can be warriors together?" He asked Stormwhisker, knowing that would be another whole moon of training, but he didn't care.

Briarpaw felt her paws leave the ground as Hollybreeze picked her up. "I just wanted to help." She whispered, her body curled into a tight ball in Hollybreeze's jaws.

Blindwhisker stood up after it seemed no cat was coming to help her up. The blind elder used her whiskers to feel around, carefully putting one paw in front of the other. She banged into the wall once before sitting down outside, grooming her fur as if nothing had happened.

Alaska looked at Sunfall and nodded before replying. "Well, ever since I found out there were Clans in the forest I always wanted to be a warrior. I almost died proving to Echostar that I was meant to be a warrior, but she told me no," the fæ's voice was obviously hurt. "I risked my life to prove to her I was a warrior, then she tells me no? That hurt." The white she cat curled her tail over her paws and flattened her ears. The gutted look in Alaska's eyes then turned to a flaring mix of anger and ambition.

She padded into her den and settled down in the coxy feather nest that was made. She slowly drifted off to sleep.

Stormwhisker:
"Well, since you two are such good friends, I suppose we can give it a try" he said.

"That isn't even the half of it," Sunfall said bitterly. "At the start of the day we found a rogue on our territory, and she disrespected the entire clan and everyone in it. I wanted to put her in her place, wouldn't you?" She was pleased when Alaska nodded, her eyes as cold and hard as stone. "So I took that piece of trash back to camp for Echostar to sort out. And you know what she did? She let. The rogue. Go. With only. A simple. Warning. No killing. No hurting her or punishing her. A warning! A FLIPPING WARNING!!! THE MOUSEBRAIN!!!" She knew she should keep her voice down, but she felt better after saying that. Besides, they were too far from camp for any of the cats to hear.

Thicketpaw: He brightened; Shiverpaw's sacrifice wouldn't go in vain! He'd train extra hard to see if they could let him become a warrior earlier, couldn't they meet in the middle? Even if they couldn't, Thicketpaw wanted to make sure he was warrior material when the day came. He playfully nudged Shiverpaw, "You don't have to do that! You deserve to be a warrior earlier, anyway." He said.

Emberstreak: She nodded to Hollybreeze, and began trailing back. She felt a tad bit sorry for the apprentice; she did want to help, but risking her life was no way to help the clan.

Shadowthorn lifted his head and sniffed the air. They weren't far from the training hollow where he would need to meet Sunfall. "Can I go for a short walk? I will be back later." He meowed and, without waiting for a reply, darted through the trees. The black cat slowed as he reached the hollow and padded down it. "Greetings Sunfall," he grumbled before laying eyes on the scrap of unfamiliar white fur. "And who is this?"

"Now come on, we need rest if we're gonna show Echostar what great warriors we are tomorrow!" The joy and happiness returned to Shiverpaw's tone.

Alaska let out a low hiss. "Mousebrain!" The white fæ looked at Sunfall before a low voice made her jump, fur bristling. She looked at the hollow to see a sleek black tom entering. This must be Shadowthorn. She concluded, fur lying flat again as she sat down. "Sorry," she grumbled. "You startled me."

"She was found on our territory," Sunfall explained. "But she could hold her tongue, unlike the pathetic rogue from earlier. She's ready and willing to help us overthrow Echostar, and seems like a great ally to have. Her name is Alaska." Sunfall hoped she hadn't made a mistake telling the she-cat all about what was supposed to be a secret plan. But Shadowthorn had told her to find allies. Now he just needed to approve of the one she had found. "She has a touchy past with Echostar, and is ready to do anything it takes to get rid of her." Sunfall hoped this comment would please Shadowthorn.

He praised her, hoping his tone wouldn't make her feel like an apprentice who'd just caught their first mouse. "So Alaska," the tom begun, sitting down. "Tell us about yourself, where are you from?"

Alaska nodded to Shadowthorn before thoughts rushed to her head. She couldn't tell them she was a kittypet, besides, that was then. Alaska was never going back there. "Well, I'm a rogue," she begun. It wasn't a complete lie, it wasn't really a lie at all, since she wasn't a kittypet anymore. At least she thought she wasn't. "I have wanted to join CrystalClan since about 7 moons. I almost died proving myself then Echostar told me to leave." She meowed, anger catching the words in her throat. "You want to get rid of her too?" She guessed.

"We both do," Sunfall said sharply, nudging Shadowthorn. "There was a prophecy that was sent to our leader today, claiming someone would betray CrystalClan and the reign of Storm and Echo would be challenged. I thought it was me, but my apprentice mentioned that it might be Shadowthorn. So... it came to this. And it won't be ending with them still on top. We plan on knocking them down without having them get up." Sunfall stiffened, digging her claws into the dirt, and looked up at Alaska. "Do you know anyone else who might help us, Alaska? We can't risk revealing anything to anyone in the clan, even if they are devious enough to think about joining us."

Alaska thought for a moment. "I have a foster brother named Aquilo. He does pretty much anything I tell him, so he might help us." She mewed. "He lives just outside Clan territory in an abandoned fox set. It would take me maybe a couple days to reach him, but he would come in handy. He is strong and a decent fighter." The fæ remembered how he'd saved her from a young dog when they were little.

"That would work magnificently," Sunfall said approvingly. "But now we come to the matter of HOW we plan on killing them. In their sleep? Ambush a patrol? Or should we think of getting more allies before we decide to take action?" She didn't want to sound like she was in charge, because she would rather have Shadowthorn be leader. But she did want to get rid of Echostar so badly, and they were only suggestions. She didn't plan on stabbing Shadowthorn, or Shadowstar, in the back.
