Bright crouched down, her belly barely touching the sandy ground, her tail waving in anticipation behind her. She peered over the small sand hill, and saw a seagull. I've never caught a seagull yet! She thought excitedly. IN one smooth motion, Bright leaped over the sand hill, dived towards the bird... and got a mouthful of sand as she watched it fly away, squawking with anger. Bright got up, and spit out the sand. She glared after the bird with indignance. "Who needs bird anyway? They don't even taste good." Bright turned around and stalked away, tail high. She stopped at the ReefClan border. She contemplated whether to cross. "I heard they have prey all the time, and they watch out for one another." Bright lifted her paw, hesitated, then crossed the border. "I'm going to find them." She decided.

As Bright trod carefully across the wide sand stretch, she wondered which direction she should head. Maybe I should stay here, and wait for them to find me..? She wondered. I bet they'd be more open to me if I was just sitting here. Bright sat down, and tried to scent the air, as she'd seen Clan cats do. "I wish my senses would come faster!" Bright muttered. She looked down self-consciously at her skinny frame. She could count her ribs, and her haunches stuck out behind her. Bright wondered how she would look to the trim Clan cats. I'm a starving kit! They won't care if I look weak! But still Bright worried what might happen. "I wish someone would find me already!" She mewed with frustration.

Bright jumped up, too impatient to wait any longer. She started walking aimlessly, and called out to any ReefClan cats. "Hello? Anyone there? Hello-o-o-o!"

Cottonstem was talking to Axel when she heard a noise. It sounded like another cat. She went to the source of the noise. She was used to the forest floor and never really came onto the beach that often cause the herbs never grew here. As Cottonstem peered through the tree lining to see a kit on the border. She looked weak with starvation. "Hello, I'm Cottonstem. What's your name?"
