Dovekit, realizing it was all to cold to do anything outdoors, the she-cat quickly retreated into the nursery, yawning as she curled into her nest. "Good morning, Sootpaw." She began, until Flamekit let out a nasty cough. Frowning, Dovekit asked gently, "Flamekit? Are you alright?"

Silverclaw bounded off behind Oakfall with her tail and head held high, like she was an apprentice going out of the camp for the first time.

Foxtail let out a quiet sigh of relief and followed the patrol, he sped up to catch up to his sister

Dovekit frowned, standing up immediately out of her nest. "You do. I'll go get Eveningpelt." Dovekit replied, quickly jotting out of the nursery and into the bitter cold, finally catching up to Eveningpelt and Coldpaw, "Eveningpelt! Flamekit's sick."

Oakfall padded through the trees, the air was ice cold but he had to get prey for the clan. He tried to scent for prey but came up empty. He looked up into the trees and noticed a hole in the trunk. He leaped into the tree and poked his head into the hole. It was empty but had the fresh scent of squirrel.


Flamekit fell asleep, he was still freezing even though he was in the den. He dreamed that he was outside of the camp and it was greenleaf. The sun was shining and bright. He blinked then he was drenched with pouring rain, thunder filled the air. He heard a distant cry of a cat in need. He ran towards the cry to only hear it get farther away. He awoke with a jolt.

Swiftpelt frowned and went over to Flamekit in a quick hop. She wrapped her paw protectively around him. "What did I tell about going outside in this cold?" He seemed to snap out of some kind of trance. Swiftpelt's face fell into a sullen look. She lowered herself down and developed herself around the kit, and her tail wrapped around Sootkit.

I... It was warm when I went out though." Flamekit complained. As he tried to stretch his Legs

Silverclaw parted her jaws to taste the air. nothing. she huffed and a puff of breath floated into the air and disappeared. but she didn't let this take away her optimism as she frequently tasted the air.

Foxtail wasn't keeping his spirits up. he couldn't scent any prey and it disappointed him. foxtail knew that leaf-bare was hard, but the clan needed prey.

Oakfall waited in the branches for the squirrel to return. His fur blended in perfectly with the trees branches. As he Waited in silence, he heard a scuffling on the ground. He saw a cat below him. But it wasn't any normal type of cat, it was a bobcat! It was headed towards the camp. He dropped from the tree branch on to its back and raked his claws down its fur. It flung him off and he hit the ground with a thud. He was pinned down with the powerful paws and its sour breath was stinging his nose.

He was then surprised when a young tom run up in-front of him. "Oh, good morning Frostkit. How well am I at fighting? Well... You can see!" He said suddenly, tackling the young tom, pawing at him, but not hurting him.
