- kestrelflight had just placed his successful catches down on the fresh kill pile in the middle of camp when he heard an amused she cat's voice. he turned around. ah, it was starlingsong, he thought to himself as he offered a broad grin back and dipped his head. "out hunting, i guess you didn't notice the prey with me," he teased with a small smile, flicking her ear with his tail gently. "has your morning been good, love?" he grinned as he shot her a playful smirk.

- dovepaw nodded. "got it," she mewed, as her eyes trailed off the path, taking note of any life stirring. a small mouse nibbled on a beech nut, but it soon darted into safety when their shadows crossed over it. well, you couldn't catch everything, she thought to herself in slight disappointment. as they padded along the path, her eyes strayed again, this time because of a young gray squirrel. it seemed oblivious of the fact that they were there. well, this could be her chance of redemption, she thought to herself as she strayed off the path, taking silent but quick pawsteps across the grass that muffled her thuds. aha! she pounced, then bit down as it let out a screech of alarm.

- featherfrost let out a tiny yawn as she stirred, waking up to the melodic birdsong outside. the sunlight filtered through the tightly woven walls of the warriors' den, managing to squeeze a ray here or there through the tiny space. she blinked, twitching her whiskers as she tried to get the drowsiness out of her system. the sun had just risen, and it peeked above the tree tops as it cast bright light everywhere. she smiled as she twitched an ear drowsily. dawn, her favorite time of the day. where beautiful hues of orange, yellow, and pink brushed the sky, chasing away the darkness and replacing it with a brilliant blue. where fluffy clouds raced past, always bringing a small smile to her face when she observed them, ever changing, ever shifting. grooming her fur with a soft yawn, she shook the moss off of her fur and padded outside.
