kestrelflight had just placed his successful catches down on the fresh kill pile in the middle of camp when he heard an amused she cat's voice. he turned around. ah, it was starlingsong, he thought to himself as he offered a broad grin back and dipped his head. "out hunting, i guess you didn't notice the prey with me," he teased with a small smile, flicking her ear with his tail gently. "has your morning been good, love?" he grinned as he shot her a playful smirk.

dovepaw nodded as she padded aoongside him, listening carefully. yes, she'd have to shape up if she wanted to become a warrior, hunting in leaf fall or leaf bare would be much harder than the plentiful green leaf right now. she'd never experienced leaf fall or leaf bare, but according to the elder warriors, prey was scarce and the leaves hindered hunting. "so what do we do now?" she asked lichenstorm, now that she had successfully hunted the bird.

featherfrost let out a tiny yawn as she stirred, waking up to the melodic birdsong outside. the sunlight filtered through the tightly woven walls of the warriors' den, managing to squeeze a ray here or there through the tiny space. she blinked, twitching her whiskers as she tried to get the drowsiness out of her system. the sun had just risen, and it peeked above the tree tops as it cast bright light everywhere. she smiled as she twitched an ear drowsily. dawn, her favorite time of the day. where beautiful hues of orange, yellow, and pink brushed the sky, chasing away the darkness and replacing it with a brilliant blue. where fluffy clouds raced past, always bringing a small smile to her face when she observed them, ever changing, ever shifting. grooming her fur with a soft yawn, she shook the moss off of her fur and padded outside.

Everyone seemed alright as he watched Vervainclaw slightly limp as they headed back towards camp, but he didn't say anything to her. He'd just need a bit of marigold on the scratches since they'd already stopped bleeding, but he wasn't sure about the others. "Well done everyone, we won't be seeing them again anytime soon."

"Can't always avoid danger." She mews, a bit more serious since she'd just seen them fight. One cat could handle a single dog depending on the size, you just had to be quick. That wouldn't be anything she didn't know, one cat could handle a fox cub too. "Unlike Foxes and Badgers, a dogs claws are a lot less useful than it's teeth. Often dull and broken in places, so it's less of a threat." She explains to Lunarpaw, having noticed twoleg dogs had the most useless claws she'd ever seen.

[size=92]Going over the options in his head, fighting could wait until after she ate something. No use in training on an empty stomach, but she seemed more awake now. "If you want we can try some more hunting before we head back, fishing is still a possibility. We'll put off fighting until you've eaten though, you need the energy and I'm still bigger than you." It took a lot more force and muscle to fight a larger cat than one your size.[size]

Her head lifts away from Lunarpaw, smiling brightly at the medicine cat. "Oh, good morning Blacktail! Just a bit of a run in with some dogs, but Lunarpaw is safe and we seem... Decent." Her leg was dry with blood, scabbing over little by little on it's own. That didn't make it hurt less, but it was better than continuing to lose it. The dogs might follow the scent back to camp if she wasn't careful.

He half glares at the she-cats bright disposition, but knew she was trying just as hard as they were to push the bad behind them. "Yeah, just some bee-brained dogs. But we showed them." Not nearly as enthusiastic as the others, having one eye to judge every movement by; it left a blind spot that he didn't like to think was there.

Foxtrot's injury had escaped his vision and mind until the tom said something, dropping his head a bit. "Everyone gets hurt Foxtrot, no shame in that. Even the leaders don't live forever with eight extra lives." He didn't expect her to ask for help or suddenly act hurt, but he wished she could let her guard down when she really needed to. A bit over confidence could get a cat killed, easily.
