Crystalheart grinned and whispered, "You're on," before sneaking off in the other direction. Before she had gone even five paw steps, she caught scent of a bird and snatched it up in her jaws, killing it. It wasn't the cleanest kill for the elder, but she was proud of it anyway. She continued on her way after she buried the bird. It took her a while before she caught scent of a mole a distance away.

Shadowpatch had soon killed the rabbit and buried it, and then proceeded on to stalk an unsuspecting robin that was wrestling with a worm in the ground, returning to bury it with his rabbit. After some time, he had built up a reasonable catch, so he dug it all up and trotted back to the place where he had separated from Crystalheart, to see if she had returned.

Ravenwing chuckled at the kit. "Very good. But what kind of leaves?"

Crystalheart hauled her catch back into the clearing, doubling back to gather the rest. After her bird, she had worked extremely hard and fast in attempt to beat Shadowpatch, but she wasn't so sure that she did. She looked at the warrior. "Two squirrels, a bird, a mole, and three mice," she meowed, pushing her catch forward.

Shadowpatch pushed forward his catch. "One rabbit, two birds, two shrews, and two mice. I guess that's a tie?" he mewed, counting up the prey quickly. "Unless the rabbit counts double, 'cause it's bigger." He grinned teasingly at Crystalheart.

Ravenwing nodded, speaking gently and kindly, and never saying the wrong thing. She encouraged Sweetkit's attempts. "Good job. They are from a bush. They are blackberry leaves, taken from a rather prickly blackberry bush. We chew them into a pulp to help with bee stings," she explained. "See these Ruffles on the leaves? That's how you tell. They're small and light green, usually with a tinge of brown on the edges. Rather easy to differentiate them from other leaves."

Crystalheart grinned. "In no way you win. It's a definite tie," she meowed, tail flicking. "Should we head back to camp? We might be missed. Highly doubt it, but we might."

Shadowpatch pretended to be disappointed. "Oh, alright. And yeah, we probably should get back. Even if we aren't missed, if we stay out to long it might seem suspicious to the Shadows." He gathered up his catch to haul home.

Ravenwing smiled and pushed the leaves back. "Alright," she meowed as she pulled a group of different leaves out. These were large fuzzy three-nubbed leaves. A sweet rose scent drifted up from them. "What are these?"

Crystalheart nodded. "Heh, yeah. We wouldn't want that," she meowed and gathered her own catch. "Lefs jho," she muttered around her prey and set off towards camp, tail trailing happily behind her.

Shadowpatch followed Crystalheart back, leaving his share of the catch on the pile and looking around to see what was going on around camp, and if there were any jobs that needed doing, or even any free warriors he might want to share tongues with. As long as he could get involved in camp life he could start feeling out who would be on which side if it came down to a fight.

Ravenwing nodded. "It's from a flowering shrub. They're mallow leaves. Cats eat these and it soothes a bellyache." She meowed, prodding the leaves with a claw to show Sweetkit the leaves' detail. "They're very fuzzy, interesting for a plant, and always have three knubs around the edges. The smell they give off is sweet, like you said."

Tauntedpaw thought for a moment. "I would slice its throat right open!" He howled eagerly, slicing his paw through the air as he imitated killing a fox.

Heatherflight looked skeptical. "Slice through a fox's thick fur and skin before it has a chance to take a chunk out of your foreleg? I doubt it. Frontal attacks against enemies that rely mainly on biting attacks are extremely dangerous. Think, Tauntedpaw- you are smaller than the fox, it is stronger than you and it has a strong, quick bite. Think of another way to defeat it!"
