Forestsong was happy for her clanmate Sagestep but she was saddened that she was not chosen. She smiled but her ears were flat and her eyes filled with tears. She was in pain now inside and out. She stood up when the leader finished and trotted to the creek. She nodded a congrats to Sagestep when she passed then she ran to the creek crying the whole way. She missed her family, she hurt from her wounds, and she was upset not to be deputy. She looked at her reflection and hissed, smacking the water. She jumped over the creek and ran deeper into the woods, her face drenched in tears. She didn't even care that she was not picked for deputy anymore. Her wounds hurt even worse now and she needed her parents more than ever. She ran until she was almost to the end of the woods and she collapsed into a crying heap of a cat. Forestsong called to her dead parents through sobs and wished they would come back to her. "Mama, Papa!! I miss you!!I need you!! Please come back!!!"

Fallenstar watched as Forestsong dart out of camp he sighed and flattened his ears as he jumped off of the high rock. He looked around and glanced at Dustfall. He shook his head and padded out of camp,before going to the he fdeputy. Fallenstar stopped at the creek And then carried on,walking over the log,following Forestsong's scent. He sighed and looked at his paws.

Fallenstar continued crying. She missed her parents and she was now in great pain. She continued calling to her parents. She wished that she could join them. Mama, Papa!! Please come back!! I need you!! You are all I had!! Why did you have to go!? She looked up at the sky while she called, her face covered in her tears and more streaming down. She lied on the forest floor to hurt to move.

Purpleflower twitches her ears as she hears Forestsong crying out to her family. She decides to help her feel better and follows her scent, unaware that Fallenstar was already there. When she arrived, she sees Forestsong still shouting out to her family, relating to her loss of family herself. She pads over and looks at Forestsong. "Forestsong?" she asked softly. "Are you okay?"

Forestsong looked up at Purpleflower, her face wet with tears and more streaming down. She mewed through a raspy voice and stood u even though she was in pain "No... I am very much not okay..." She looked at the feline through heart-broken eyes and ran even farther away, she did not know how far she had run but she didn't care. She ran until she was in front of a twoleg fence then collapsed again still crying. She did not care that she was in twoleg territory. She was glad that Purpleflower cared about her but she was too heartbroken to talk to any of her clanmates. She felt as though her heart had just been ripped out of her chest.

Purpleflower figures its best to let Forestsong go after seeing her run off. She sighs and hopes she will feel better.
