Peek chuckled nervously. "Tomorrow?" she asked shyly. "What now?"

Meka cleared his throat. "What now? We practice even more."

After checking in with the pure ones she headed back to where she would help the owlets train. "I'm back. I sneaked you guys one vole each." She said to the other owlets, setting down a bunch of voles. "It'll be nicer to have your gizzard something to grind." She said, ruffling her feathers. She checked the weather again."you owlets should get some rest soon. You'll need it for the long flight." She said, smiling lightly.

(I'm on mobile and whenever I type owlets it auto corrects to papers :T)

"But....shouldn't we keep practicing? I know I still need it," Shard asked, slightly worried as he stepped over to the small pile of voles. Picking one up with his beak, he tossed his head back and swallowed it whole, making a noise of content after the tail disappeared.

Dusk wolfed down his vole, although he wasn't altogether hungry. Then, following Palindromes (it is palindrome isn't it?) advice, he flew up onto a perch and fell asleep.

She shrugged. "If you want to keep practicing you may but all I wish is for you to rest afterward." she said. She saw the sun slowly rise. "It is pretty late, I see." she said, watching the clouds pass by. "I'll stay up and watch. I don't want pure ones catching us." she said, blinking away her tiredness.

Meka shook his head. "We'll take turns watching. And the Pure Ones are more comfortable around me." he said, before adding softly; "They said I'm probably gonna get my tainted soon." he took a small vole, before mumbling a thank you and gulping it down quickly. He didn't mention that he hadn't got any sleep since he came, and flew up to the tallest branch silently, furrowing my claws into the wood to keep from falling, and laying my head against another. He first said "Wake me up when you're feeling tired. And then I'll take over." then he fell asleep without another word.

Peek yawned, before hopping towards the pile of voles, and taking the smallest one. She could only eat half of it anyway, because of her small body size. "I need to practice..." she mumbled, clawing her way to a higher ledge than before, and looking for another place to land. She saw one above her by about ten wing-flaps above her. She crouched, getting ready to fly. She took off, going higher instead of lower! Instead of gliding, she was going up. Once she landed, she cheered, twisting around and then falling on the branch.

Personality; shy, quiet owlet who is very curious but too nervous to ask questions. She is obedient, only because she is afraid of getting caught or questioned.
Owl type; melanistic Barn owl
Other: Moondream is a melanistic owl, which is a 1/1,000 genetic mutation. It is the exact opposite of albinism, and makes the owl almost black, and they are often killed very early by their mothers for their rare coloring. This is why Moondream was found on the forest floor, as she was kicked from her hollow by her mum.

Shard was glad he wasn't the only one staying up to practice. "Good job Peek! You made it!" He cheered happily before spreading his wings. He took off, a bit smoother than last time, and powered upwards towards a branch. Making it faster than he anticipated, he landed with a whoop.

Philomena nodded. "That is very generous of you." she said as she got settled on the perch. She watched the owlets practicing, smiling lightly. She looked at the sun that was now completely exposed. She liked the nice warmth of it's rays but also liked the calm serenity of night. She shrugged and surveyed the area slowly, looking for any other owls and listening closely.

Meka was fast asleep.

Peek cheered for Shard, but yawned a little. "Just a few more..." she mumbled, flying down.
