Jace let a subtle smile play on his face as he moved his head, resting his muzzle against her neck. His ears rested against his head as the wind blew through his mane. "Venus, I missed you too...." He sighed deeply, his breath following the breeze, rolling down Venus's neck. "I missed you too..." he murmured again and moved his paw down, to let his golden gaze rest upon her own. "Venus..." he murmured her name gently, his eyes showing his affection. He moved his left paw to brush her cheek gently and locked his gaze with hers. He only just realized how much he had really missed her. In that embrace it was almost as if he didn't want to let her go anymore. Not anymore, after the long long time that had passed.

Venus knew this couldn't last long. She would have to get back to camp soon, to help out with the flood situation taking the lands by storm. But how could she when there was so much right in front of her that she couldn't leave. She couldn't leave Jace. She now thought that it may be physically impossible, that her paws would not take her away. The knowledge that she had to leave, and soon, weighed down on this joyful moment, though she didn't show it. She smiled slightly, bringing her face closer to his. "You know, that tree you used to sleep under likes to haunt me these days. Like a constant reminder of the fact that I've needed to feel your presence again."

"You're welcome," he teased. Shutting his eyes he remembered the feeling he had gotten under the water. Its rush of cold, and the quiet, peacefulness it had to offer. It brought him back to the time when he was dying. His ankle was hooked on a chain and silence was surrounding him. Water poured into his lungs. the struggle, the fight. He knew all was gone. All was lost. All his worries and regrets. A rush of cold on his tail brought him back to his senses, but Hrath was already rolling into the water.
Slipping in, the same feeling washed over him, peace. He let himself sink, slowly falling to the bottom. As he landed a swoosh of sand went up and came back down. He thought of Venus and how he had loved her. Madi and how she had loved him back. His good life...

Gea turned her head out to a large roar. She was out walking when she heard it. Gea raced to the hunting grounds. At a distance she could see Venus. With an odd male lion. "Jace." she hissed. No, she didn't not like him. Its just that, he left and now he is back again for love. gea wisked away. She knew that wasn't it either. She knew she wanted someone to love. Someone like Jace who would love her even after he left and came back again. Someone like Samba. But her competition had rose. A new female was after him. Sighing, she trecked silently back to camp, tail and ears drooping.

Madi kept a careful eye on Hrath. She watched as he rolled into the water and sank to the bottom. She sighed and jumped back in to get Hrath. She knew that he was day dreaming again and that he could lose his life by doing that. She swam to the bottom and brushed her tail against his side to help him come to the surface. Madi watched him happily and her eyes gleamed with wonder.

Hrath! Help me! It's your mother! Your father is coming!

Hrath! Wake up! For me!

Hrath shot his eyes open. He was gasping for breath. His lungs hurt and ached like crazy. His fur was sopping wet. Hrath stood up. He could still hear his fathers voice whispering death. Once he blinked he could see his father. When he blinked again he was gone. "My father is coming. Venus..." he murmered.

(Well, she is in love with Samba right now.. maybe if it doesnt work out. ^^)

Madi helped him to the surface. She gasped for breath and made sure that Hrath did to. "We need to save Venus..." she whispered. "What did your father say now Hrath?" she got worried and walked out onto land and shook her fur out from the water.

"He's gonna kill me! HE'S GONNA KILL ME!" He roared. Lions heads turned and labeled him a freak once again. "My mother is gonna get hurt, death." he mumbled. His world was turning upside down again. "He'll kill the whole pack, he'll kill us all!" Lions flinched, rolled their eyes and walked away. This brought back the pain that he had when he had loved Venus, but thought he was almost crazy.

Madi licked Hrath's cheek to calm him down, "Shhhhhhhhh...." she said. "It isn't time to worry yet. Nothing has happened. All we need to do is stay alert." Madi sighed. She looked around at the other lions and growled to tell them to back off.

Hrath floppd limply down. "You're right. I guess we should all remain calm." He sighed and heaved himself up. His belly growled. He looked up at Madi, and a smile crept across his face. "Race you to the best hunt!' he called, racing out of the entrence.

Madi laughed, "Last one their is a rotton egg!" she dashed off toward the enterance and soon past the enterance. She felt each thump of each paw as it stomped the ground. She loved the wind as it moved through her fur. She smiled happily.
