"Come in!" she calls. Lynxcloud steps in, her eyes watery. Mistflight follows.
"Icestar..." Lynxcloud's voice is even.
"She's expecting kits!" Mistflight squeals. Lynxcloud eyes Mistflight.
"It's not that easy, Mistflight." she mutters.
"Who's the father?" Icestar asks happily.
"Dra-OWWWWW!!!" Mistflight yells as Lynxcloud steps on her tail.
"I wish to keep that private, thank you." Lynxcloud seems like she's straining to keep a secret. And Mistflight seems to know it.
"Mistflight, I'd like you to stay. Lynxcloud, you are dismissed." Icestar orders.

Lynxcloud walks out. Icestar can see the fur rising in her scruff.
"Mistflight," she begins, "Who is the father of Lynxcloud's kits?"
Mistflight looks shocked. "I... I can't tell you." She looks away, an uncomfortable look on her face.
"You are dismissed then."

Pigeonpaw glanced up as his mentor returned to her nest. He picked a few flecks of horsetail from his fur before hopping to his paws and padding after the she-cat. With a yawn he curled down in his nest, tucking his tail over his paws and falling asleep silently.

Dragging a bunch on reeds into the nursery, she sits down and starts weaving them together.
"Can I help?" She glances up and nods.
"Mistflight, I'm worried for my kits. Drake said he's going to take them..." Lynxcloud's eyes are watery.
