lunastar's heart sped up, and tried to get words out. "I did see a dog, maybe a sharpclaw[cougar] too. " she said her whiskers twitching nervously. "Do you have any ideas? " she asked trying not to sound too worried. She was almost unable to show emotions. She flicked her tail in dismissal. "Think about it. Tell me when you can. Don't stress over it, it's probably nothing!" she said her head bowing in distress. Her eyes softened "Please put some mind into it." she said. [wb]

Stonepelt grew hot with anxiousness. "Uh, sure?" he said his tail drooping in sadness. he grabbed a plump mouse and dropped it. "You can have it, im not hungry anymore. " he said droopily and padded off the warrior's den. He curled up in a tight ball and pretended to sleep. But really had so many questions filling his mind.

softpaw got up on all fours and licked her leader's ear, "calm down, lunastar. you're going to stress yourself out beyond belief. just lay down and we will figure something out." her voice was gentle and soft as she sat back down and began thinking about it. a dog and a sharptooth, she wondered, trying to figure out what that could mean. it most likely meant that woodclan would be dealing with a lot of trouble and even a possible battle. they would be out numbered, however, and the cats were far smaller. if it was a battle, the clan might be pushed into finding a new camp to save the lives of many.

mudpelt.

mudpelt almost wanted to slink away to see if he could hear what lunastar was speaking to his daughter about. he was one of the only cats he knew that had a daughter and still called her "daughter". as well as softpaw being one of the only cats around with a parent still alive. it saddened him, because even though he could be very hard-headed, he had a huge soft spot for his own daughter and didn't want her hurt. the sandy-colored tom shook his head and walked over to the fresh-kill pile, smiling warmly to plumheart as he picked up a bird and sat down to eat it. gingertooth awkwardly followed him, sitting down in front of the mouse, about to take a small bite when stonepelt spoke. "um, okay.." she sighed and watched as he walked into the warriors den. gingertooth gazed around camp with uneasiness, pretty sure everyone saw her and stonepelts weird encounter. sitting back on her haunches, she groaned and took a small bite of the mouse and pushed it away with her paws. resting her head on her paws.

plumheart cheered also, but right after he went over to the freshkill, and snagged a vole with his claws. walking over to a shady tree he smiled at his passing clanmates. taking small bites of the vole his eyes narrowed on lunastar and softpaw. wondering what they conversation could be about.

mudpelt saw gingertooth going to the warrior's den, almost looking embarrassed and sad. mainly to see if she was okay, but partly to get his mind off of lunastar talking to softpaw, the tom walked over to the den and sat down next to gingertooth. "you gonna eat that?" he looked down at the mouse on his back with a small bite taken out of it. "because if not, i will one hundred percent eat it for you." there was humor in his voice and a smirk playing on his face, looking from gingertooth to the mouse.

lunastar calmed herself, and said " Why don't you get some fresh kill i need to talk to Rubblejaw. She said padding outside the den. She stretched and licked a calming lick on her forehead. "i'll be fine, you need to worry about getting some fresh kill." she said calmingly, and wrapped her tail around her warm body. She smiled, "your father is strong, just like you ya' know?" she said thinking of how hard it must be the only cat taking care of the whole clan's wounds. She smiled, " why don't you get some rest, don't worry your self over it." she said and licked her chest. But soon padded to the back of the den. She settled down to groom.

softpaw nodded to her leader and purred softly, then walked off when the new deputy went up to lunastar. the siamese mix went to the fresh-kill pile and snagged a pretty small bird in size, walking to a tree close were plumheart was to begin to eat it. as she ate, and was looking around the camp. the camp looked lovely, with cats mingling all around. it wasn't always like this, so it was good to enjoy it while you could.

lunastar just started grooming when she was interrupted by Rubblejaw. "Oh hello Rubblejaw, whenever you want to start patrols, you just ---" she got stopped when she asked a question. "Oh, i picked you because of you're heart ; it's a wonderful brave, and of course loveable one indeed. but you know how to fight no questioning that. " she said pausing to catch up with her words. " I picked you to lead beside me, help me keep the clan from getting in danger. Knowing you, i believe in you. And i must thank you. You have taught me even with the dents in life you keep on going." she said with a smile forming across her maw. Only if it had stayed longer, it turned to a frown, "only if all cats were like you." she said her paws feeling weak under her.

Adderpelt was busy padding toward the prey pile. He was glad that Rubblejaw won the prize of deputy, but he didn't think she was his type. They were friends though. He pricked his ears, realizing how hungry he was after sitting through the clan meeting, and snatched a vole from the prey pile. He swept his creamy tan tail around himself as he dug in.

Gingerpaw whimpered as she noticed Stonepelt leave her, but noticed how sad he was that Rubblejaw wasn't joining him for a bite to eat. She tilted her head, wondering how to react. She decided to go into the warrior's den, even though she wasn't allowed to go in. She pawed at Stonepelt in his nest. "Stonepelt," She mewed, pawing his face. "I'm sorry Rubblejaw didn't want to share prey with you." She licked his nose. "She'll come around, I think. You're quite attractive."

Stonepelt looked up with sorrow filling his eyes. He smiled, " Thanks, but i must get going with my duties." he said with a lick on her soft cream pelt one last time. He stretched his boney body and padded over to Rubblejaw. " I am so glad your deputy now, and very proud, " he flirted, licking her ear. He suddenly thought, " want to go on a patrol with me and Gingerpaw and others?" he asked his sorrow attitude tinging his words a bit.
