Creamflower nods at Ebonystar, seeing Thornpaw padding up to them. "Of course." she said, waiting patiently.

thornpaw raised an eyebrow, not getting the point of lionflame's teasing. “of course we're coming. why wouldn't we?” he purred, a smile growing on his maw. thornpaw turned to goosepaw and bluepaw, “come on guys, lionflame's taking us training.” the tabby apprentice meowed, cautiously taking a confident step outside roseclan camp. the tom's paws left the deep, wet sand, and onto the hard dirt. he glanced behind him to make sure goosepaw and bluepaw were there, which, indeed, they were. thornpaw purred in delight and closed his eyes, trodding proudly.

ebonystar dipped his head in dismissal to goosepaw and bluepaw, as he amusingly pointed his tail towards thornpaw, whom had just told them about training. “you'd better go now, you don't want to miss training.” he meowed curtly to the two apprentices. ebonystar swiftly turned to creamflower, who seemed impatient. “sorry about that. now where were we, crewmflower?” he asked, pushing all his attention to the molly this time.

Creamflower sighs. "Ebonystar." she said. "I think its time I tell you something that I should have told you a long time ago."

ebonystar nodded, and sat down, washing his forepaw. “go on.” he meowed, as he waited paitently for what the molly was going to say. the phrase ‘a long time ago’ made the leader worry, as his heart raced and his thoughts rushed. creamflower always seemed to have her eye on him, but slightly lovingly. maybe she's looking at something else. he always would think, and padded away, but this time he wasn't so sure.

Creamflower takes a deep breath and looks at Ebonystar in the eyes, her blue eyes sparkling. "I love you." she said.

ebonystar's maw opened a little in suprise, as a lump in his throat formed. i-i don't know what to say... he stammered wildly, as his throat cleared. i'm sorry creamflower, i just don't feel the same way about you. again, i'm so sorry... ebonystar felt a pang of guilt, as it felt like he was being stabbed in the throat. the tom galloped away, into the forest, and climbed up a wide tree, finding an abandoned owl hole. the black leader tried his best not to cry, but he knew that he had let down poor creamflower, as his heart skipped a beat. ebonystar's eyes watered, and he started to tear.

Creamflower watches him dash off into the territory, debating whether she should go after him. But she decides that its best to let him go and have him calm down on his own. She understands that he doesnt feel the same way about her, knowing that not everyone can have the cat of their dreams. She is happy to at least get that off her chest.

featherfrost was about to pad to the fresh kill pile to grab something to eat in silence, when she saw ebonystar, racing away. oh no... the possibility of ebonystar not reciprocating creamflower's feelings had never occurred to her. at the back of her head, she realized that she could tell ebonystar how she felt about him, but the silver fae was more concerned about how ebonystar was feeling right now. racing out of his den couldn't have been a good sign. she decided to follow him, bounding behind him as he entered an abandoned owl hole. eyes wide with concern, she entered too. "ebonystar? are you okay?" she mewed softly, voice laced with worry.

lionflame padded towards the training center, paws scraping the sandy surface. "get into your fighting stances, today i'll be reviewing the leap and hold with you all. this move is exceptionally useful when your opponent is larger than you. you'll be practicing on me- so one at a time." he padded towards thornpaw, nodding as a cue for him to do the move.

bluepaw glanced, confused as ebonystar ran into the distance. i wonder what happened... she mused as she started to pad towards the training center. when lionflame told them to get into their fighting stances for a new move, she obliged and crouched low, tail swaying as she tucked in her legs.

kestrelpaw stretched, arching his back as he stood up, light filtering through the bracken walls. most of the apprentices were awake, but some were still off in dreamland, pelts rising and falling peacefully. sighing softly in a content manner, kestrelpaw looked around, tail flicking back and forth as he looked for someone to talk to.

thornpaw nodded confusedly, crouching into his stalking position, ears pinned. his tail was tucked underneath his legs, as he then moved his rear end upwards, and he thrusted forwards on lionflame, gripping onto the tom's wide shoulders. thornpaw released himself off the warrior. “is that good enough..?” thornpaw breathed heavily, stancing out of his battle position.

ebonystar lifted his broad head, his cheeks stained with tears. “i can't let down a queen, featherfrost! it would hurt me to let down anyone, still...” he sniffled, as he thought about what creamflower was feeling. “i feel horrible... i know i can do nothing but tell the truth.” he croaked. ebonystar was protective about his clanmates, and his heart ached as he knew that not every molly could have him. the black leader looked out of the hole, as his gaze rifted outside, eying the plants and where he used to hide if he didn't want to train, which where he hid was in a deeply covered bramble caved, thoroughly covered with a berry bush that he could eat off.

featherfrost nodded, resting her tail lightly on his back as she listened quietly. the fae understood- honesty was one of her traits, after all, and she couldn't lie when asked something. she would always blurt out the truth instead of sugar coat it. "hearts... they never heal, but they can mend. maybe someday creamflower will find it in her heart to forgive you. " she mewed at last, after a heartbeat of silence.


lionflame nodded in approval with a small smile. "try to hold on a little longer and try to center yourself with your target, or you might slip off," he called out as he moved on to thornpaw. "okay thornpaw, show me what you've got," he mewed with a small smile, waiting for thornpaw to pounce on him.
