Heatherpaw let out a slight sigh, but bodded to her mentor. "Okay," she mumbled, though would much rather have gone where they had originally planned. She leaned close to Silverpaw, "If you want, follow our tracks after we leave and we might be able to slip away for a little while." She whispered low enough for only the apprenice to hear before she bounded after her sibling and the Warriors. "I'm ready to go." She mewed.
Tigerstripe followed Wolfpaw out of camp, taking in the fresh scents of the forest. At his apprenices question, he chuckled slightly. "It will cover the old scents, but we might be able to pick up fresh scents if the snow doesn't get too heavy. And most prey leave tracks in the snow, as long as more snow doesn't cover them." He explained, padding on a little further. "It's a lot harder to hunt in the snow, but if you practice enough, you're sure to be good at it." He said with a soft smile to Wolfpaw.
