He purred quietly as he watched the apprentice touch noses with his mentor, then his gaze drifted down to Lilypaw "Lilypaw, after the death of your mentor it's time for you to receive a new one... Foxbrair you will be lilypaw's mentor!" Shellstar called

Snowpelt grinned, but he cocked his head as she began to dig up a hole. "Huh?" the frost-white tom muttered as she placed the small bird under the damp soil. "Why are you doing that? I thought you wanted to hunt prey for the clan, not for the dirt. Starclan lets us kill animals so we can eat it, not for them to die innocently!" Since Snowpelt strongly believed in Starclan, he thought it was quite wrong. Foxbriar must be doing this for a reason... Surely.

(Not sure of what to post for Nightpaw, so meh)

Roseclaw felt the warmth of the tom's golden fur soak into her. The she-cat softly licked ebony-black paw and dragged it across a fluffed forehead, making it all sleek & smooth again. She let a short smile out and sighed, before chuckling at the cats scattered among the crowd murmering and looking around for Foxbriar, Lilypaw's new mentor. "Shellstar," the warrior clearly said, "Foxbriar has gone out hunting with Snowpelt. It'd be a sensible decision to leave it now and tell her when she gets back."

The apprentice's eyes sparkled, but she gazed at her surroundings worriedly. Her new mentor was nowhere to be seen! But she was absoulutely sure that she'd seen her when she was talking to her leader. Her tail lifted suddenly and swiftly, noticing her crush was back. "Stonepaw! You and Boulderpaw were out for quite a while. Well, Featherstorm became deputy, Nightkit's joining us in the den as Nightpaw and now Shellstar says that since the death of my old mentor, Foxbriar is going to take his place. I hope she teaches as well as Ivyscar."

"We went out hunting... he caught most of it though. Featherstorm seems like she'll be a good deputy though," he admired, looking over at the gray tabby. Turning his attention to Nightpaw next, he said, "Oh, he'll be a great apprentice. Who's his mentor? Speaking of yours, I'm sorry Ivyscar died. I'm sure Foxbriar will be a good mentor top though."

"Bluestone," she answered simply with a sigh, "Ivyscar was great, but after the meeting I can tell you how he died and some of our adventures." Lilypaw laughed, looking up at the full moon. I'm sure Starclan treats him well.

foxbriar snorted at his reaction, her fur beginning to bristle slightly. "well, would you rather carry everything around while we continue to hunt or keep it all in a safe spot then retrieve it later before we leave?" she replied in a brittle tone, rolling her eyes.

ashpaw listened to his little rant and pinpointed what was wrong with him. though normally she would not argue with his request for her to leave, today was different. "clearly, you are the one choosing for it to be lonely! I'm trying to have a conversation with you and you are attempting to shoo me away. you do realize you've brought this upon yourself, don't you?" she replied sharply, her anger no longer bottled back, tail lashing with irritation.

thunderheart attempted to hide his disappointment and envy as featherstorm's name was called for the ranking of deputy, ignoring the anger rising from deep within his chest. noting the way roseclaw seemed to react to his suggestion, the male flattened his ears slightly, seemingly having forgotten her fear of the water considering all of the felines who had perished. "never mind. I'll see you later." he murmured gently, manoeuvring through the crowd toward the entrance before leaving the meeting to head out into the forest.

rookpaw watched the entire meeting with detached interest, grooming his pelt all the while. as featherstorm was called to take the place of deputy, he muttered a few brief cheers with the rest of the crowd before returning to his own little bubble. he'd never felt he'd ever belonged in the clan, though said thoughts had always been kept to himself.

After over hearing the summary of the meeting from Lilypaw, he gazed towards his mentor, surprised. He was the apprentice of the new deputy!

"Sorry, Foxbriar. I'm new to Tempestclan, and haven't really hunted this way." he sighed, giving his injured front leg an embarrased lick. He shook off a few torn pieces of leaf that had stuck to the dry blood.

"Thunderheart!" she called after the tom, making a long jump to reach his side. Roseclaw trotted in front of him, signaling for him to stop with her flexible tail. "I'm sorry about you not becoming deputy. I overheard Lilypaw talking to Shellstar: she said you were fantastic and would love for you to ave such an important role because you deserved it," she whispered, nudging his head forward. "And I thought we were going swimming..." she meowed sadly. Roseclaw didn't really like it, but at least Thunderheart could teach her.

Lilypaw nodded but lifted his chin up with her ever-so-soft paw gently. "Don't worry. After the meeting, we can have a little adventure just like Ivyscar. He demonstrated to me some of his own moves, and when I killed my first vole, it came in good use as it was very quick death. I hate seeing suffer; we need to eat though." she said in a positive voice.
