Berrystar sighed and sat down, considering Windfur's request. It would be an extra mouth to feed, and with Shallowpool's kits on the way, it might be difficult to get enough prey for everyone. The poor kit was alone and helpless, and she might be a good addition to the clan. Berrystar nodded. "She can stay with us." He mewed. "Has she eaten anything yet? Or gotten any herbs?" He asked Windfur.

The she-cat smiled, the tension leaving her shoulders. "She has been fed, but has not received any herbs. I also had one more request... Since she is of apprentice age, may I mentor her?"

Unnamed watched the two cats talking, laying her head on paw and listening to their conversation. Without meaning to her eyes began to close and her breathing started slowing. She hadn't gotten a full nights rest in many moons, nor had she felt safe to do so since... well, since she was separated from her mother.

Shallowpool watched the poor kit, who was clearly exhausted, then turned her attention to Berrystar and Windfur. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering... should this kit maybe take a few days to stay in the nursery and rest up and gain some strength before moving into the apprentice den and taking on apprentice duties? It looks like she hasn't had a decent sleep in a while, her ribs are showing, and her injuries don't look so good. Maybe if she takes a few days to recuperate from whatever she's been through, she'll be better able to learn and whatnot. Even if just for a few days. And this way she can learn about clan life while everyone is out for the day, so that she doesn't feel so overwhelmed." she said in a hushed voice.

(I was just thinking - I was planning on having Shallowpool die giving birth, but there aren't any other queen's who could nurse the kits properly, are there? If necessary I could have her die later on, and either not have a third kit (unless someone else wants to play one) or just have her third kit die but not her)

Berrystar nodded at Windfur's question. She seemed like a kind warrior to mentor Unnamed, and she had already gotten to know her. He turned his head to listen to Shallowpool, and nodded his head to agree with her request. "Yes, that sounds good. I don't want to give you another responsibility, but if you could raise her for a couple days?" He asked.

Shallowpool nodded. "Of course. If she's okay with that. She doesn't seem to trust me like she does Windfur. But I'd love to, plus it would make her start to open up and meet clan members out of her comfort zone, which could be good for her."

(I mean technically they couldn't live without milk. But it's okay, I'll keep her alive for a little while then kill her off once they can live without her... And then they can just sort of be raised by everyone and no one at the same time, if that makes sense? I can have Sagespark check in on them and stuff. S'all good)

The older cat purred. "Thank you, Berrystar. Shallowpool, do you mind if I drop in a few times to see how she's doing while she rests?" Windfur asked, turning to look at the expecting queen.

Shallowpool nodded her head. "Yes, of course! I wouldn't say no to that." the queen said with a smile. "We should probably find Amberpaw soon and ask get her to look at..." after a pause as she considered what to call the kit, she continued on with "this little ones wounds though.Most look like they come from burrs, but the other one looks like it could use some treatment. What do you think?"

Coleusfoot had taken a nap near the front of the warriors den and was now waking up with a loud yawn. He moved his legs out from under his stomach and yawned a second time stretching out his long legs. He swung his tail to his side and began making his way across camp. He looked over seeing the leader was back, though he was busy talking to other cats. Coleusfoot's yes glazed over the strange kit he didn't recognize. He raised a brow but kept walking by making his way to the fresh kill pile. He sat down in front of it, his tail twitching from side to side. He lifted his paw plucking away pieces of prey so he could get to the small little vole on the bottom. He hooked it with his claws and moved it from the pile. Coleusfot stood up and walked over a few feet from the pile and sat down and began eating the vole.

"No, its great for a mouse", she replied, "the apprentices will probably enjoy it." She crept out of the bushes and stalked around the trees into some lighter brush. She sat still within the tall grasses and waited for awhile for something to come in. Her tail gently waved between some of the loos grasses. A small bird flew down from the pink trees onto the ground. She flexed her claws her tail stilling as she waited for it to get settled. It fluttered down picking around at the ground. Lionflame smiled and leaped out of the brush towards the bird. The bird let out a shrill call and tried to flap up, Lionflame almost missing it. But she moved just in time her claws dragging it down by its wing. She quickly killed it. She laid it down in front of her, "Lets get heading back." She flicked her tail and walked past him, "We can take these to the pile and see how Arrowpaw and Blossompaw are doing."
