(On page 7 at the bottom Sonya has explained to the wolves about cobra.)

"He hasn't been around for a while..." Sonya paused, "Four years to be exact. When I was a pup he killed my parents... Dare's sister adopted me when her litter died... Ever since Dare, and his sister have been on the watch for him. A couple of you saw me chasing him. I hold a venomous hatred for him. The only reason he got away this time was because I stumbled when the rabbit bolted out of the bushes. He won't return for a while, but he could send his thugs... They will be looking for me. Dare will take you to a safer location." Sonya lay down again for her pups to nurse.

[Inatae]

Kaira looked over at Kanrik before speaking up. "I don't know about you, but I'm not the kind of wolf who runs away from an enemy, unless forced. If we keep moving, sooner or later this enemy you're talking about is going to take the entire forest, and ther'll be nowhere safe to travel to next. I'd rather keep this forest, thank you, so I reckon I'll stay here and fight. Anyone with me here?"

Kanrik gave Kaira a surprised look. That was a pretty drawn-out speech for her, but it voiced his sentiments almost exactly. "I'm in," he announced. "And nothing you can say is going to get me out "

[Iramez]

"This is true too... But for those of us who have pups, or may be expecting pups... You may want to move to a safer location to ensure population growth." Sonya said inspecting all of the females around her.

[Inatae]

Kaira shrugged. "Eh, I myself don't have any, so I'm not concerned. But I wouldn't recommend fighting anyone if you do happen to have pups."

Kanrik gave Kaira a look, but shrugged.

[Iramez]

Those of you who don't have pups feel free to fight." Sonya said starting drift off to sleep.The fight with Cobra had exhausted what little energy she had.

[Inatae]

Kaira got up. "So... when do you expect this... enemy... to attack?" she asked Dare, pacing around Kanrik.

Kanrik looked at her bemusedly; he normally knew Kaira as a pacifist, but things seemed to have changed.

[Iramez]

"I don't know. It could be a couple of hours. It could be months. There is no way to tell. We just have to be ready." Dare replied cooly, though that wasn't how he felt.

[Inatae]

Kaira thought for a bit. "Then we're going to need practice, don't we?" she mused. "I know for sure that my fighting skills are incredibly rusty, and I'm betting that Kanrik's are as well. We're going to need some training and mock battles to get back in shape..."

"We could all practice together," Ripple suggested. "Like, a training camp or something."
