Marmalade followed the others, and gently landed beside them. As soon as the direct warmth if the sun hit her scales, a honey golden color began spreading outward from the spots the sun hit, like liquid sunshine running over her scales, as they reacted positively to the warmth of the sun.
"I'm Marmalade," the Rainwing said, offering a shy smile, and her scales echoing her shyness with blots of dark and light blue that swirled among the honey-golden.

Shortly after introducing himself to Toucan, Coati decided to head back to the guest hut. The little dragonet might be overwhelmed by so many newcomers, and Coati figured he could say hello later. Plus, Cometblaze and Cravasse were all alone in the hut, and perhaps they could use some company.
"I'll see you guys later," Coati called, taking flight and covering the short distance between here and the hut. In. Mater of minutes, his muffled footsteps could be heard on the floor as he approached the hut and poked his head inside. "Mind if I come in?"

{Thanks for clearing that up. Heh, I feel like I'm reading an SAT question or something where I have to watch for those little words like 'almost.' xD}

Mysteryteller listened to the conversation between the two royal Nightwings, carefully schooling her features so they didn't betray her thoughts. Why did the little dragonet come here to find ink? There wasn't any ink in these caves, nor parchment. Only a bit of chalk and a bit of charcoal that Mysteryteller had brought down to draw with.

Starsnatcher glided through the air, flapping his wings every now and then. The silver scales on the undersides of his wings caught the light as he lifted his wings, glittering and sparkling in the sun. The Nightwing currently didn't have anything specific he had to be doing, as he had a rare moment of free time. It likely wouldn't last long, but that was fine with him. He enjoyed his job as a Talons member.

Cometblaze | Age 8 | Female | NightWing | Wings of Night

Her thoughts stalled as the fuzzy hum of Coati's mind reached her. She turned her head just enough to gaze up at the SandWing dragonet. "I don't mind, but I don't know if Crevasse minds. He looks like his scales are about to melt off." The rage that had boiled into her thoughts had calmed to a simmer for the few moments she'd spent telling Coati something before heating again. She let her gaze lower to the floor as she turned her head away again. She could feel in the back of her mind that she must look as if she was intentionally ignoring her friend. But she knew that if she started a conversation now, she'd likely say something she'd regret later.

Moonshine | Age 4 | Male | NightWing | NightWing Prince

He wondered around the halls of the Palace. The only places Mother would let him go, at least. There was nothing he wanted to do and nothing he needed to do. He'd walk past a servant or some guard and would wave hello or the like before continuing walking. He began wondering where Fireclaws had wondered off to.

Eye of the Hurricane (Hurricane) | Age 8 | Male | Wings of Storm

"Hurricane," he murmured. He didn't mind that Cometblaze had spoken for him. He probably wouldn't've been able to get a whole lot out before the Queen dismissed his words in favor of thinking he and Gale were spies or something. He thought Cometblaze was nice.

Pearl | Age 15 | Female | SeaWing Princess

She swam through the ocean, enjoying the water sliding smoothly across her blue scales. She surfaced without a sound and looked around. She was a ways away from the Summer Palace and even farther from the Deep Palace. She spotted a dark shape hovering above the water. Gliding closer on the water, she made out a dark scaled SeaWing drifting on the wind. She didn't know the sea dragon's name, as she hadn't bothered to go learning all names of the SeaWings in her tribe.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing hovering around in plain site? What if an enemy sees? You could get killed," she growled, swimming closer to the SeaWing, keeping her head above the water.

(I'm sorry, you're probably right...silly thing to get so defensive about. Bayou can get frustrated by things before really thinking through them.)
Bayou | Wings of Mud | MudWing | Female | Age 8

Bayou's thoughts began to wander, as they usually did, and she allowed herself to consider Cometblaze's action. It seemed like she didn't trust them to say the right thing. Then again, Cometblaze knew more about the customs of other tribes than Bayou did, and it was very possible that one of the other dragonets would have offended the queen. None of them had exactly known what the queen was like, and she might have been much worse. Relaxing her wings, she admitted to herself that it was a silly thing to overreact about.

Toucan | Dragonet | RainWing | Male | Age 7

Toucan nodded slowly, rainbows flickering across his scales, showing his confusion. Finally, they settled on warm gold, similar to Marmalade's scales as he smiled. "Good to meet you."

Marmalade coiled her tail around her talons as she sat down on the leafy platform. She watched as signs of confusion flickered across the other dragonet's scales, before his scales took on a steady color. Meanwhile, her own scales were just having a party. As always. Now they were a backdrop of shifting blues, with honey-golden ribbons slithering across them in no particular pattern.

Coati walked into the hut, casting a glance at the melting Icewing. Figuring his heat-giving scales would be less than helpful, Coati moved over to sit down next to Conetblaze, and away from Cravasse. However, the Sandwing also took note of Cometblaze's demeanor. It seemed to him that something was wrong. "If you want to talk about anything, my ears are always open," Coati commented in a soft voice so as to not disturb Cravasse.

{I knew that... Somewhere in my mind anyway. This, this is why I need more sleep. Six hours a night is not enough. This will be my last post until later.

"I would, but everyone seems to get upset now when I talk. So, I think I'll just stay quiet for now and see what happens," she said, a growl hinting at her words. Because of the anger that was boiling in her mind, she'd completely missed Bayou's thoughts. If she weren't sure she'd hit something, her tail would probably be lashing.

Abyss stopped. Was the princess he learned about really talking to him? He tensed up, getting nervous. "Uh... Just flying over Pyhrria. Also, there's no StormWings in the sky - not that I know of, anyways." Looking up to the sky once more to check for any troops, it was yet another relief that there was none in the sky. Still, she was right. It was dangerous doing things like that. And with that, the male SeaWing slipped back into the water.

"You're pretty far from flying over Pyrrhia," she said she the SeaWing slipped from the air into the water neatly. "It's not like we'd know for sure if there were no StormWings. For all we know, they might be disguised as clouds or something. What's your name, by the way?" she asked, gliding through the water closer to the dark SeaWing. This SeaWing's scales were almost as dark as her's. She liked that.

"Abyss," He replied using Aquatic. "What's yours?" It felt awkward to start interacting with the princess in this manner, making him nervous. It wasn't like they should marry or anything! This triggered him to swim somewhat faster through the water, but not so fast that she couldn't catch up to him.

She followed next to him, wondering why he'd sped up. "Pearl," she signed. "You're acting like you're trying to swim away. Is something wrong?" she questioned, slowing down slightly, allowing Abyss to pull ahead of her. She wanted to talk to someone that wasn't her mother, brother, or father. But the last thing she wanted was to burden someone.
