She smiled and padded out into the cool forest air, she smelled air looking for scent of prey. She could smell the faint smell of thrush somewhere nearby.

He calmly followed after her, eyes narrowing in concentration as he opened his mouth to scent the air. He picked up the scent of thrush but chose instead to follow the scent of a nearby mouse. When he saw the creature he quickly slipped into his hunting crouch, thankful he was down wind. Pouncing he finished it with a bite to the neck and carried it to where skywhisper last was.

Dovefeather nodded and smiled, padding towards the entrance. She walked outside and took a deep breath of the fresh air. She whipped her tail and looked back at Blazestripe. "Race you to the nearest ash tree!" She grinned and dashed off.

He stumbled with suprise at her exclamation of a race but it quickly turned into a smile. His first bounds were nervous but as he began to get more comfortable he stretched his stride more, his orange pelt rippling like flames as he caught up to dovefeather. He had a goofy sideways grin on his face and his eyes were determined as he let out a few happy chuckles, a big difference from the nervous cat he was a mere few seconds ago.

Skywhisper spotted the thrush in a near by bush and caught it with quick precision. She dropped it next Fallenleaf's mouse. "Nice catch," She whispered to Fallenleaf. She then turned and scented the air again, this time it was the scent of a vole that caught her attention. She followed the scent to a nearby tree, where she spotted the vole nibbling on a seed underneath a tree root. She killed it too. And placed it into the pile.

Dovefeather was doing great until she looked to her side and saw Blazestripe with the funniest face ever. She couldn't help but laugh. She stumbled but didn't fall, getting up in time to keep on running. She was so close! Just a few more steps and she would make it.
