h i s t o r y // wolfshadow and his brother were born on a cold december night to a pair of clan cats; jaystream and wildfire. his mother passed away during his birth, a definite loss for the clan as she was a brilliant warrior and an extremely skilled hunter. wildfire went insane with grief and murdered his son, stonekit; wolfkit's littermate. at this time, wolfkit was unaware of his father's insanity and still looked up to him, having been told it was a rogue that had killed stonekit. wildfire lead him out into the forest, telling him the two were going to play hide and seek. after leaving the young kit alone, his father chased an angry badger directly toward his son, not expecting it to turn on him. the badger wiped out the tomcat then lumbered back home, leaving wolfkit to stumble across his body. unable to process what had happened, the young male went mute for a short time, refusing to speak to anyone. a few moons later, apprenticeship rolled into play, leaving wolfpaw with his mentor, addercreek. little did wolfpaw know, his mentor had once been a rogue, plotting against the clan. after wolfpaw became wolfshadow, a healthy young warrior, addercreek vanished, only to return a few moons later with a band of other rogues. his clan was wiped out, leaving him beaten and broken on the border of his old clan's territory. he fell asleep that night, only to wake up in a strange territory with a feline he'd never met before. or so he thought. it had been addercreek, saving him from the rest of his ragtag group of killers. though he hadn't known all too much about him, wolfshadow had a close bond with his mentor and addercreek spared him, leaving him on the border with mapleclan. since then, he has served his clan well, speaking only if spoken to and fighting every border skirmish with complete and utter ferocity to keep his clan safe and thriving.
