Raccoonpaw nodded, irritation in his eyes. He followed after her, "But we need to help fight in the battle!" He yelped, "Well, once it starts.." The apprentice realized, mumbling. Raccoonpaw looked around at the trees, feeling a bit uneasy.

"I'm sure we'll have time to train a little before the battle,"Sunnyleaf replied, seeing the irritation in his eyes. She sighed, reaching the training area. Sunnyleaf padded to the center, facing the silver tom. "Now show me what you've got,"The spotted she-cat meowed, bracing herself.

Raccoonpaw nodded, "Like, actually attack you or attack something that's--" Raccoonpaw quickly slid under Sunnyleaf's belly while she was distracted, pawing at it instead of clawing, then escaped by rolling out in the space between her front and hind paw. "How's that?" He asked, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws.

Sunnyleaf stepped back. "That was great!" She praised, small smile on her face. "I think that it's good that you're taking advantage of your size, and the distraction helped too,"The spotted she-cat commented. "Now, let's see.. How about you dodge this?" She challenged. Sunnyleaf slammed her paw on Raccoonpaw's head soft, but hard and leapt over the silver tom. She tripped him in a single movement, bouncing off a tree and pinning him down. She padded off of him. "Now, you try doing the jump and pin move,"Sunnyleaf meowed, bracing herself again.

Raccoonpaw nodded, as he started to ready his paws. The young tom ran quickly towards Sunnyleaf, as if to throw her off guard and believe that he was going to charge at her. At the last second, Raccoonpaw jumped high up and bounced off the tree, then pinning his mentor to the ground. "Was that good?" He asked, still pinning down Sunnyleaf.

"That was amazing!" Sunnyleaf praised again, shaking her fur as she leapt back up. "I think you've got it,"The golden she-cat meowed. "Let's work on dodging, and defence,"Sunnyleaf meowed. "When you're dodging, you don't just run away. If you run away, your enemy will chase after you, and you might not have time to turn around,"She explained. "I think we should try the duck and twist trick. Any questions before we try it?" She asked.

Raccoonpaw shook his head, having no questions. "Quack quack," he added, trying to lighten the mood. He stood up, getting ready for this defense strategy.
