Cloudstar looked around and decided he would make the patrols today, "all cats old enough to jump a tail length high gather around the patrol stump," he said loudly to make sure everyone heard him, he was thinking on sending a lot of apprentices out and a warrior to see how their training is going so he could see when he should make them apprentices. The prey pile was running low so he would send out an border patrol and an hunting patrol.

Cloudstar looked around the cats, "Frozeneyes take your apprentice on a border patrol I will go with, then I want Dewtail to take your apprentice out on a hunting patrol you may take one other cat with you guys, after you are done with that start making new repairs to the camp, like make a wall around the camp," he said wanting the cats to feel safe.

Newtcloud situated himself on one of the protruding roots of the patrol-announcement stump before Cloudstar went through with his patrol routes, he couldn't help but feel a bit of out of place where he sat as he was usually on top of the stump itself, but he decided to push that feeling away to listen to Cloudstar. The tortoiseshell tom nodded his head once his leader had finished and raised his head to look at the tom. "I'll stay here while you're out, hopefully by the time you come back we've already started working on that wall." Newtcloud mewed, "We'll make it tough enough to keep those nasty old LeafClan cats out." he added teasingly. Of course Newtcloud didn't believe LeafClan was nasty at all, in fact he felt rather neutral about their neighboring Clan.
