Ravenflight nodded with a smile. "Of course. Lets go then, before it gets dark. It's dangerous for us out here after darkness falls... The forest is teeming with life." She padded off into the forest, head held high, tail straight up. This was going to be fun.

Sandpaw followed her new mentor. Her eyes gleamined with happiness. hat would she learn first. She suspected that she'd learn the crouch.

Ravenflight spun round as she padded into a suitable clearing, facing the apprentice. "Alright so. Demonstrate the crouch position. I'll then tell you what you need to improve, and what you have got correct." She stood tall, watching the young she-cat.

[Africa.]

"Hurry back!" Foxstar called after Ravenflight. "It will be nightfall soon, and you'll need to stay in camp and watch guard, while we head off to the gathering. We've no knowledge of what Darkclan is capable of, we want to be prepared." He nodded, waving his tail in goodbye.

Ravenflight heard him, but didn't think that she should reply. He was busy after all, as was she.

Sandpaw crouched, her eyes fixed on the bush behind her mentor so she kept her balance. Was she doing it right? Or was it totally wrong?

Starpaw purred, running to lick her mother's cheek, then went to touch noses with Sandfall. She dipped her head respectfully,"I am honored to have a wonderfull mentor like you"She said, looking at Sandfall with starry-like eyes

Ravenflight got herself into the correct position. Her muscles tensed as if she was above to pounce, her ears flicked forwards. "Lower yourself as much as you can, but don't fold your legs underneath you. Keep your muscles tensed and ready to pounce at a moments notice..." She slowed her breathing, her gaze travelling past Sandpaw onto a rock. "Focus on your target, slow everything, breathe silently. Creep forwards on your belly and when in pouncing range. Then, and only then, pounce."

Oakheart padded up to Ravenflight and dipped his head to her as he sat to her left. Dawnshadow would be fine alone with her loved one so he wanted to watch the apprentice cerimony.

Sandfall smiled, nodding her thanks. "That is very kind of you Starpaw. We'll start training in the morning, okay?" She purred, waving her tail in goodbye, and padding off to sleep.
