The black cat sprang back up, giving a little bow. "That can help when you're in a tight spot. Partner fighting is also a useful tool, it allows you to fight together, without anything being able to sneak up on you. It's easier when you've trained together. This battle style is best for two or more enemies, and fighting in sync gives you a much better chance of survival." She moved so that her and Fallenthorn were in the partner fighting position, "Like this. It can be a little difficult at first, but it's useful. Who wants to try first? Darkpaw, Ravenpaw?"

Honeydew

Honeydew smiled, feeling no pain as the she-cat felt her belly. "Three kits...", she mumbled softly. "That's great". She nuzzles her mate back, feeling very happy.

Fallenthorn

(Shoot I forgot about that, but it
still surprised him since he wasn't focusing)

Fallenthorn copied Silentsteps position, listening to everything she was saying. "Partner fighting is very useful, even if you can think you can do it yourself". He knew this from experience. He always though he could fight himself until one day where Honeydew helped him fight a fox, and made it much easier for him. Too bad she won't be fighting or hunting for a while.

Darkpaw tilted his head, crouching in the grass as more of a resting position and peaking out through the blades, gazing intently at Silentstep and Fallenthorn. He took his training perhaps too seriously, but he didn't care. Focusing on his training allowed him to escape the thoughts of his family that were constantly encrouching on his mind, and dive into a place where all that mattered was technique. Where all that mattered was figuring out the near future, instead of remembering the near past.

(If you are willing to, Fallenthorn would make a great mentor for Ravenpaw)

Thornstone purred, "C'mon, lets go get your nest set up in the Nursery,"

Silentstep

Silentstep looked at the three apprentices, trying to think of how she wanted to go about it. "Okay, how about this," she began, "Fallenthorn and I will stay in partner fighting position. Darkpaw, Ravenpaw, I want you two to attack us. Fallenthorn and I will defend, as this is a great defensive move, while you two attack with claws sheathed. Then, it'll be your turn to try. Sound good?" She turned to Tornpaw, "And you can watch for now, Tornpaw. We'll integrate you in later."

Darkpaw rose from his spot and centered himself across from Silentstep, his tail whipping from side to side. He lowered his shoulders to the ground, double checking to make sure his claws were sheathed before looking over at Ravenpaw to see if she was doing the same.

the black shecat stood and crouched, mimicking DarkPaw in a way as she felt her belly fur brush the grass below her she made loose long strides as she approached the two warriors but didn't leap as she was waiting for DarkPaw to give the signal... Flicking her tail she told him that she was ready and was good for the signal... She swiveled her tufted ears and rolled her scarred shoulders... She was rusty from lack of training but still a formidable opponent and she snickered softly. She had trained alone, it had begun to be a hobby for hersel to leave camp at night to practice so she was more well tooned than cats would think. She just hadn't had a chance to use it on an actual cat. More or less a bullrush or reed or maybe a fish if she was lucky. She glanced back to the dark Tom across from her, flicking her ears.

Honeydew

"Wow, I'm a queen now", she mumbled to herself as she went to the nursery, making sure Thornstone was following behind. She noticed the nursery had been empty for a while. It's probably been moons since anyone has been here.

Fallenthorn

Fallenthorn looked at the she-cat in front of him. He knew Ravenpaw was a worthy opponent. He waited, maybe a bit too long.

Thornstone took in the sight of the nursery. The apprentices kept it held up well enough; there were some leaves clustered in a few corners and a mud puddle towards the entrance. He frowned and ushered her in, mewing, "Wait here," He exited the Nursery and grabbed his nest from the warriors den. He had just made a new one up the day before so it was still soft and almost unmolded. He dragged it into the Nursery and placed it in the middle of the spacey den, shuffling his paws. The Nursery was the only den that had grass growing in it; the top of the entrance was pulled back, eroded away so that the rain could trickle in and be absorbed by the grass. He placed the nest far enough back where the rain couldn't reach it, turning to look at his mate. "Um, I hope this is okay...I can stay in here to help keep you warm until we get some more queens." He shuffled his paws again, nervous. He wanted to do his best to make her comfortable. "I'll get the apprentices in here after they get back and have them clean it up a bit,"

Darkpaw gave the signal and lunged at Silentstep, aiming to bowl her over and pin her down. His left paw jabbed behind her according shoulder to weaken her and take her down more easily .

Honeydew

She smiled at Thornstone. "It's perfect", she said as she nuzzled him. She went to the nest, and circled around it for a bit before finally getting on it. It was very soft to her, though a bit cold.

the black shecat finally sprung, she took a fake jump being so light on her
feet before sliding underneath him and leaping upward. pushing all her weight
up to unbalance him before leaping and smacking him in the jaw and
head-butting him in the shoulder. she grumbled but curled her tail around
her hind leg and swung with her front paws outstretched and leaped at his
shoulders with full force.
