this 'young' gentlemen is applewhisker. he's actually quite old, approximately 87 moons, but if we were to remind him of that, he might bite our heads off. applewhisker hasn't always been in the clan, though. he was born a loner to two loner parents, red and honey. granted, applewhisker (or 'nugget', as he was known) was the only cat of his litter, but before him, his loving parents gave birth to another tom, a confident male by the name of pepper. applewhisker adored his brother, but the tom was murdered by a vicious badger, causing applewhisker's parents to become overly protective of their final son. eventually, red brought his mate and son there. applewhisker became an apprentice. he trained along side a beautiful she-cat, fell in love, and had a lovely kit. his kit grew up and gave birth to a grandkit, rosepaw. applewhisker is quite protective of the apprentice, considering that his parents, mate, and daughter are long gone.

meet rosepaw, a young apprentice with a kind heart and a determined demeanor. rosepaw's parents were very kind and affectionate, but almost three moons into rosepaw's birth, her father died of drowning. it was unfortunate, but rosepaw's mother raised her kit bravely, -- until she, too, died in battle a moon later. rosepaw has always grieved their death, but it never affected her every day life, as she did not know them incredibly well. however, the event affected her grandfather, applewhisker, quite negatively. he now constantly watches over the kit in fear that he might lose her too. regardless, she is often annoyed by his actions. regardless of rosepaw always having struggled a lot on her fighting skills, she refuses to stop until she gets them right (which can more often than not lead to long nights, annoying her den mates with her grunts as she attempts to bat an imaginary enemy). regardless, she's a good hunter, as she is agile.
