He started slightly at the question. "If I was supposed to be on one, no one ever told me." He answered weakly, suddenly nervous. Had he missed some cue? Certainly someone would have actually come up to him if that were so?

"Rumblepaw." Brightcoal grinned, padding towards the apprentice. "You're up early again." He noted as he sat down next to him.

"If nobody told you then you must not have to do anything... Hey, you okay?" She asked, noticing his shaky hands. She sat down, listening to the sounds of the Kricketot.

"Is that unusual?" He chuckled, giving him a big, toothy grin. "What about you? I don't see you out very often." Rumblepaw questioned, slightly curious now.

"I'm fine." Quickheart answered quietly, and maybe just a bit too quickly. "Just a bit tired, I guess? I'm not usually... up this early."

"Fair enough." He snorted softly, an ear flicking. "I couldn't get back to sleep, so I went for a bit of a walk." He told him. "It lasted longer than I meant it too. I had been planning on trying to sleep once I got back."

Psypaw laughed. "Then you would probably hate Dawn Patrol." She gazed up at him admiringly. "Wanna go for a walk? I'm sure it'll wake you up."

"That's not happening anymore, not with me around that is!" He exclaimed, playfully holding the warrior in a headlock.

"Ah.. sure?" Quickheart answered after a second of hesitation. "Are you.. sure you don't want the company of someone a bit more interesting though?" He asked softly.

Brightcoal let out a surprised laugh as he found himself in a headlock. "Such a shame, I can see my ability to fall back asleep flying away as we speak." He answered, before he forced himself to go limp, suddenly becoming dead weight and pulling them both to the ground.

Psypaw hit him lightly. "You're interesting to me... if that doesn't sound too cheesy... C'mon! I want to go see if the Oran tree I planted has grown any berries!" She grabbed his hand and dragged him along the forest. Many pokemon didn't know this, but Psypaw was a botanist. She had a garden where she grew berries and flowers and liked to be most of the time.

Rumblepaw laughed as they tumbled to the ground in a heap of limbs. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the sun over the horizon. He looked at it momentarily before saying. "This wasn't how I imagined my morning going!"

Quickheart trailed after the smaller pokemon, his head tilted slightly. She had planted an oran tree? "Where... is your tree?"

Brightcoal chuckled softly. "It wasn't how I imagined mine going either, if I were being honest." He answered, sitting back up. "I expected far more sleeping to be happening."

Psypaw didn't answer him, and instead gave him a sly smile. Eventually, after many twists and turns, quite a ways away from camp, she stopped in a small clearing filled with Gracedia flowers and berry trees of every kind. "We're here!" She squealed as she ran to the small tree she had planted in the center of the garden.

Rumblepaw sighed, then got up. "Well, I guess I'd better head back to camp, see if there are any patrols to join. And maybe you can catch up on that sleep I've robbed you of!"

Strikestar yawned and looked out apon her camp. It seemed activity had begun without her. Not that she minded, more sleep was always appreciated. Patrols had been sent out already anyway. She would have to thank her deputy later. Stepping out of the den she sat and purred. Her clan was calm, in order. Safe.

Gemstar flicked his tail lazily. He hadn't bothered coming out of his den yet, the clan seemed to be running well enough without him. And yet, feeling a sense of boredom, he came out anyway and prepeared to organize the daily patrols.

Rushpaw padded out of the apprentice den and looked around camp. No danger, no invaders, it was a normal morning as he watched the clan go about its morning. He rested his head in his paws. It was still early, maybe he could fall back to sleep..

Brisktail looked up as Gemstar emerged from his den. She had awoken early to wait for orders, and none had come until now. The dewgong hurried up to her leader. "Anything I can help you with?" Gemstar flicked an ear. "Just assembling the patrols, but if you want to do it.." Brisktail's eyes gleamed. "Of course I would!" Before he could respond she made her way to the meeting rock and looked out at the camp for pokemon who she felt would work well on the patrol.
