feeling anticipation prick my pelt i caught sight of a young hare among the brambles, my face was solemn as i leapt and grabbed at it with my outstretched paws. but i barely missed and the hare slipped from my grasp. "fox dung!" i spat and ran after the rabbit, hooking it with my claws on its hind quarters it veered uncontrollably and i leapt onto its back and broke its neck in a swift bite.

Care to go hunting? I don't have much to do after my nap." I said, looking around for anyone else who could join us.

Taken by surprise, Leopardpaw jolted around to see Forestfire looking at her waiting for an answer. "Oh, um hi," she replied. "I'd love to go hunting with you. I'm kind of bored too." She got up off her haunches and turned and asked Forestfire, "Where do you want to go hunt?"

She had spent the entire morning watching the sun rise steadily into the lightening sky, from a comfortable perch in a willow tree. The branches bent from the weight of her body, but they did not break, as the slender she cat inched her way towards the edge to peer through the leaves that shrouded her view. The sky had just turned a brilliant mix of colors, as the sun's rays painted the clouds as if it were a canvas. She breathed a slight sight, greatly enjoying the view. It was great being up here, though she couldn't help but wish that she could share this moment with someone else.

The she-cat looked around, eyes narrowed. Nothing would stop her from catching this vole, nothing. Quickly and quietly she stalked towards it, and when she was close enough she leaped at it. Holding it her jaws she proudly strutted to the camp. I'll go hunting again, after I put this in the fresh kill pile, she thought happily to herself.

Leopardpaw frowned and mewed,"I think we'll just go to the middle of the forest, I guess?" She padded outside the camp entrance and breathed in the fresh crisp air, as it was not quite noon yet. Then, the air would be more or less heated up. Leopardpaw tasted the air for any prey, determined to catch a rabbit or a bird, as those were the hardest few.
