Previously only ruled by Princess Celestia and her younger sister Princess Luna, Equestria is a vast land full of many different places and creatures, and unique magic. Over the years, many events have occurred. Among Princess Luna's return and Princess Cadance breathing life back into the Crystal Empire through her rule, Princess Celestia's prized pupil Twilight Sparkle and her six friends, the former elements of harmony, saving all ponies countless times, Twilight has received her rightful place as the princess of friendship and currently resides in her castle in the humble and small Ponyville. However, there are still many discoveries to find and difficulties to overcome. Twilight and her friends, among other ponies with lesser known destinies, have stories to unfold. What will your story be?

1. You may have up to four canon characters, however you may only have one mane 6 member and/or one princess.

2. In addition, you can have as many OCs as you want, but you MUST keep up with all of your characters and make them easily identifiable. But I would really appreciate getting as many canon characters as possible over OCs to start with.

3. No alicorn or overpowered OCs. Basically no Mary Sues or Gary Stus. Please don't have OCs who are related to the mane 6 or any of the princesses. It's just something that irks me in RPs since I like to stick to canon besides shipping.

4. You can use whatever kind of form you'd like, but please try to retain the same basic information. (Personality, appearance, relationships, etc. Common sense stuff. You don't have to get as detailed as I did but I'd like to either A. know you know your character or B. know more about your OC.)

5. Be as literate as you can manage, but since this isn't in the literate section I'm slightly more lenient. At least three sentences per post should be fine, but try to use proper spelling, punctuation, etc.

6. I'm a shipper so you can already guess that same sex pairings or even pairings in general between characters are more than welcome here. I'm only adding this rule because I've seen it denied in other RPs.

7. PLEASE try to be active and notify me or Pinkie. if you are going to be inactive or leave altogether. ESPECIALLY if you are a canon character.

8. I'll try to keep this as up to date with the show as possible, so since season 5 isn't over spoilers might be given relatively fast.

» Personality: Applejack is a brave, reliable, strong, and mature pony, although headstrong about doing things on her own. However, she is also dependable and loyal, always willing to help anypony in need. The mare is honest and finds it hard to tell a lie. Applejack is often shown to be one of the more empathetic members of the mane six, putting the needs and feelings of others before her own. She likes to play fair but doesn't mind breaking the rules to teach somepony a lesson. Applejack is incredibly caring of her family members and can be a little overprotective over them, but the thought is what counts. Applejack is an incredibly hard worker, but she's also incredibly stubborn and refuses help because of her pride. Her family and friends come before anypony else, always. Out of all of the six friends, Applejack is usually the most level one who will tell it how it is, due to her honest nature. In the times that she isn't her usual, stable self, her friends are always there to try and fill her spot, even if it takes a lot of convincing. Applejack is incredibly athletic and strong, in a physical and emotional state. This mare, although polite in her own southern charm, can surprise those who don't know her well as soon as you get on her bad side.

» History: In Call of the Cutie, Applejack tells her sister that she was the last one in her class to get a cutie mark, a trait that seems to run in their family; Granny Smith and Big McIntosh were also the last ponies in their classes to get their cutie marks. In The Cutie Mark Chronicles, Applejack tells the Cutie Mark Crusaders the story of how she got her cutie mark. It begins with a young Applejack leaving the farm to live with her upper class relatives, the Oranges, in a big city called Manehattan. However, she finds it hard to fit in and becomes terribly homesick. The rainbow left in the wake of Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom convinces her to return home. Applejack realizes that she truly belongs in the family farm, and her cutie mark, three apples, appears. It's confirmed that she lost her parents at a young age, which may be why she is so protective of her family members now.

» Personality: Discord is the God of Chaos, formally known for causing Equestria much terror. First he was defeated by Princess Celestia and Luna, and then once more a thousand years later by the mane six and their elements of harmony. Although Discord is very clever and powerful, he underestimated what these ponies could do. He didn't understand what friendship could do, and he learned how to feel friendship properly when Fluttershy was given the task to reform him. Discord states that he's never had a friend. He appears touched when Fluttershy declares herself to be his friend, and it is that glimpse of genuine friendship that causes him to undo the chaos he had caused. He states that he will use his magic only for good from now on: "most of the time". Since then he has kept his chaotic tendency to a low, though is still more than willing to cause mischief. There's a much softer side to Discord, especially exposed since finally being accepted as a friend with a certain group of ponies, but he doesn't enjoy being called out for it. Discord is arrogant and overconfident, as he underestimated the ponies' ability to restore their friendship and wield the Elements of Harmony. Despite having a fondness for chaos, he can become easily annoyed if things don't go according to his plan. He's not used to being a good friend just yet, so he's still learning. He can have a very jealous and possessive streak, as shown with Fluttershy.

» Personality: Trixie can be extremely boastful and over exaggerate things due to her being a show mare. She tends to speak in the third person and refers to herself as "The Great and Powerful Trixie" and "The Great and Apologetic Trixie". Twilight Sparkle's positive, helpful, and humble attitude is contrasted by Trixie's over-the-top boasting. However, when confronted by an ursa minor, she admits that her tale was fabricated and that even the ursa minor was an opponent far too powerful for her to contain.. showing that she can drop her show persona and show sincerity.

» History: When Trixie was a filly she attended Celestia's Gifted School for Unicorns (this is actually confirmed by Lauren Faust) and learned illusion magic to be a magician. She traveled and performed and one day came to Ponyville. While she was performing Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity didn't like her on stage boasting and tried to show her up but she quickly got rid of them. However, Snips and Snails wanted to prove that she did defeat an Ursa Major so they brought an Ursa Minor into Ponyville. Trixie tried to defeat it but couldn't and ended up breaking her persona and admitting that she couldn't do it and Twilight defeated it. Humiliated, she ran off. She was laughed at after being showed up by Twilight and had to work on a rock farm for a living. She worked up the money to by an alicorn amulet and put it on to go and get revenge on Twilight, but she didn't realize it made her a worse pony while she wore it. Twilight and her friends managed to get it off and she apologized for all of the wrong things that she did. She ran off but now she has moved into Ponyville, hoping to make amends with somepony..

Pinkie is hyperactive, excitable, quirky, and outgoing, often speaking and acting in non sequiturs. She warmly welcomes new faces such as Twilight Sparkle and Cranky Doodle Donkey. True to the element of laughter she represents, she loves to make ponies smile and laugh.
Pinkie tends to have a lighthearted manner in serious situations, such as stopping to drink chocolate milk raining from a cotton candy cloud when the main characters confront Discord in The Return of Harmony Part 2. personality ;; Spook is a very disturbed and pessimistic pony, with the tendency to be violent and angry. During the day, he does his best to function as a 'regular' pony, cowering beneath a front of lies and jovial acts. However, his nature is anything but charming, for this is discarded at the night, when he dons his outfit and ventures out of as a Spook. His manipulative traits are both a blessing and a curse. He's a natural liar, and has a smooth, honey-filled voice that persuades.
history ;; As a colt, Oblivion was kidnapped his his master before him, Koray. While he was formerly a rather jolly colt, the training of the Spook broke him, as it had others before him. For moons, Oblivion spent his days hidden away, taught by the older stallion in secret. The two were forced to move several times, when the town's villager's became suspicious of Koray's intentions. After moons of being shuttled about, Oblivion was finally settled down in an older library, in which his master was determined to fix up. When Koray passed from old age, he left everything to his young 'son' - his library, but most importantly, his mantle. During the day, Oblivion became like any other pony, but at the night, he did the work he was born into.

the legend of the spook. a tall tale passed down the generations, holding tidbits of truth.

way back in the early days of the sister's rule, there was an earth pony named lune. he was a devoted worshipper of the moon, admiring luna for her strength and control over the darkness. so much so that he roamed the landscapes during the night, in hopes of spreading his following; 'the way of the moon'. now lune wasn't anypony special, just an average workhorse; a storyteller by trade, and a gifted one at that. however, he wasn't quite 'all there', leading him to be confused about quite a lot of things. he was deranged, broken in mind, which effected the way he thought, making him rather pessimistic and twisted.

this pony was still an older adult when the events of nightmare moon occurred, when luna gave into her bitterness and accepted the darkness. despite the event, the male still respected and admired the mare, going as far to even follow her down her troubled path.

while he never actually met the villainess, he claimed to have done so, spreading stories and tales under the alias of 'spook', a ghostly figure who was mysterious. his aim was to strike admiration in the hearts of those who lived in ponyville. but alas, with his twisted mind, he didn't go about in the right way. for many years afterwards the original spook roamed the villages, scaring ponies with his talented set of vocal cords, along with ghost-like tendencies.

when he began to feel old age weakening his bones, lune set out to find an apprentice. his searches led him through the lands, as he looked for the perfect colt to follow his footsteps. this pony was just a young colt then, a earth pony by the name of angel. initially approaching the pony, spook asked angel to be his apprentice, only to be frustrated when the child refused. out of options, he forcibly kidnapped the young fellow, dragging him to his home in ponyville where he spent the next months training the colt.

tortured by the teachings of lune, angel's mind broke eventually. as time passed he became as warped and twisted as his master, and thus carried on the tradition. like the one before him, the new spook came to worship nightmare moon, and vowed to spread her chaos throughout the lands. since then, the legend of the spook has been passed down between a few select families, those who were around when the events took place. colts are set into place by the 'spook's rules', a set of items in which a pony would qualify to being kidnapped by the current spook.

and so goes the legend of the spook.

» Mane/Tail Color and Style: Rarity has very prominent curls, due to the fact that she curls her mane daily. Her mane color is a royal purple gradient, switching between dark and light.

» Cutie Mark: Young Rarity was assigned to design outfits for a school play, but upon revealing the outfits to her instructor, they gave a brief "nice," in reply. Frustrated and disappointed with herself, Rarity attempted to recreate the outfits, but with no luck. As the young unicorn started to doubt her own talents, she was interrupted as her horn flared and started to drag her. After quite a bit of dragging, the young mare was presented with a fairly large rock. After exclaiming some angry words, a rainbow cut across the sky. With a crack, the rock opened up, revealing sparkly gems. Upon seeing this, Rarity proceeded to use them for the outfits for the play. Everypony was amazed, thus 3 diamonds appeared on her flank.

» Motivation: Ever since she was a young filly, Rarity has worked towards becoming a well known fashionista. It's been her dream ever since she could remember. With her friends support and help, Rarity is encouraged to work towards her goal more and more everyday.
» Strengths: Rarity is very talented at handling herself, often able to defend her and her friends against enemies. The white mare is an amazing fashion influence, being able to make gorgeous dresses with the help of her magic. Her generosity also goes a long way, although being a bit prissy, she will do anything for her friends and is quite selfless and giving. You can always count on her for a helping hoof.
» Weaknesses/Flaws: Her fear to get dirty is often an obstacle. She does whine and complain often, and is dramatic in more ways than one. Besides that, she does let fashion get in front of her morals sometimes. The mare's desire for fame gets in the way of what's important sometimes, but at the end of the day she sees what's right again.
» Fears: A major fear of Rarity is failure. Or, rather, rejection. She's worked her entire life towards fashion, which is admittedly a hard industry to work in. The white unicorn is aware of this, yet she tries anyway. Sometimes, though, she fails. The purple haired mare takes it to heart.
» Overall Personality: Rarity is a generous white mare from Ponyville. She is a fairly well known Fashionista, and holds fashion very dear. Although prissy and whiny at times, she values and loves her friends and family dearly. Rarity is by far the more generous pony in Ponyville.
