rain pelted the clearing outside as the medicine cat apprentice sorted herbs quietly. it was silent in the den, the only noise being the rain outside and the dull rolls of thunder far off, and he sneezed as a leaf clung to his nose. it was dawn, but the sky outside was dark with stormclouds, and the young tom stared for a while before he turned to look at his sleeping mentor. "honeycloud? honeycloud, wake up."

She looked to her deputy and smiled as she overheard what he said.
She was glad her Deputy was so on top of things. She was happy with her choice of deputy, though
she felt that her being chosen as deputy when she was was a bad choice, she was only 24 moons
then and she hoped she was living up to expectations.

Birchfoot opened one eye to see Fawnfur walk out of the warrior's den. His ears perked
and he smiled. He got up and stretched his back and walked towards her. 'Hey Fawnfur.
Not sure about you, but I'm loving this rain.' He said with a yawn.

She woke up and stretched before stepping outside to see it was raining.
She yawned and sat outside the apprentices den, curling her front paws under her body.
She looked around for Tigerpaw, but he was no where to be seen. She let out a large sigh and
looked ahead of her into the camp.

Draven woke up from a deep sleep and groomed his fur where he sat.
He stretched in his bed than stood up, arching his back to stretch again. He yawned and shook himself
before going over to eat from his food bowl. After eating he sat on his owners couch,
looking out of the window.

DoveSong yawned, looking outside with sleep-filled eyes. Still tired, she stood up and quietly padded outside, making sure not to wake up SunPetal. Once she was outside, she looked around to see who else was up, while still trying to wake up more herself.

Honeycloud's ears pricked as she heard a voice. Recognizing it as her apprentice, Tigerpaw, she opened her eyes quickly. "Morning, Tigerpaw." She said, stretching her jaws in a yawn.
She got to her paws, looking around the den. She had noticed that it was raining outside. She actually enjoyed the rain, she never exactly understood why. She just did.
She snapped her attention back to her apprentice. "Sorry for not waking up earlier. I was up late, checking our stock." She told him.

Rosedapple twitched as she felt Fawnfur's warm body move away from her. Groaning, she stretched her limbs and lay in her nest, peering curiously around the den as more waking warriors stirred in the shadows.

Fawnfur nodded in reply to Darkmoon, but just before she could leave the den, she heard another cat call her name.
"Hi Birchfoot," she purred. "The rain is beautiful, isn't it?" She paused a moment, then added, "I'm going on patrol with Darkmoon and Shadowtail now, would you like to join?" She beckoned with her striped tail invitingly.

Darkmoon turned towards Shadowtail. "I was going to lead the dawn patrol with you and Fawnfur," he replied to the dark tom, glancing as he spoke at his sister and Birchfoot."But it seems as if Birchfoot might be joining. Three cats should be enough, so you can lead instead. I have more patrols to sort out anyways. Get something to eat and I'll tell them to meet you at the camp entrance," he added, flicking his tail in dismissal.

Moonpaw was sound asleep in the apprentice's den, curled up in a tight ball of pale grey and white fur. Her striped tabby tail was wrapped around her paws and thick moss was bunched around her, to keep her warm despite her thin pelt.

He smiled a little bit more. 'Sure.' He said shrugging, looking at Fawnfur.
He took a few steps towards the entrance but then stopped to wait for Fawnfur.
