Goldenheart nodded towards Gingersky and let him wander off. She smiled at Shadowpaw. "Let's go." the cat meowed and headed back in the direction of camp.

Gingersky had trouble finding the rabbit and dug up a few spots where he thought it might be. After a few unsuccessful attempts, he finally succeeded, pulling it out of the ground its body still warm to the touch. He shook the dirt off it and carried it towards the river to wash off his own pelt. Setting it down by the brink of the river so it wouldn't become waterlogged, he waded in quickly, not wanting to make himself late to be back at camp.

Pepperfrost dipped her head before entering the den to see Maplefoot on her belly. "Maplefoot! What are you doing? And have you ate the seeds I gave you?" The medicine cat asked, beginning to help the sick she cat to her paws. She noticed the seeds on the floor, covered in vomit. "If I give you a couple more, will you be able to chew on them?" Pepperfrost asked. "I will see what I have to help with your vomiting, but I can't give you too many herbs at once." The medicine cat was afraid, afraid of losing a cat and it being all her fault. Think, what did all the cats who have caught the sickness do before falling ill? She thought, trying to remember when Russetwind and Stoneheart had been the first victims.

Snowcloud entered camp and dropped her catch on the pile. She gave Beetlenose a short nod in farewell before entering the warrior's den. She ignored Twigfall and Littledove and just flopped into her nest, exhausted.

Shadowpaw followed behind, every so often letting out a grunt as a butterfly fluttered around his nose. The apprentice tried to catch it in his paws, but it flapped away. The black tom snorted faintly and got his paw stuck in the fork of a large fallen branch. "Oof!" He grunted as he pulled his leg free and it almost hit him in the face. He looked up at Goldenheart and sighed. "Sorry." before his mind flooded with thoughts. Sorry for being an embarrassment. Sorry for disobeying you. Sorry for being so childish.

Dewpaw looked across at Russetwind but stayed where she was. The apprentice got up and sighed, her head spinning. She stumbled across to the apprentice's den and flopped onto her nest which was quite near the entrance. She let out a large groan and sat up. Licking a paw, the molly turned her head to look out the den. From here on out, she was a spectator. She promised herself she wouldn't get involved.

Twigfall just shrugged. He didn't know how to respond. "We can only hope, but I'm sure that StarClan will show them some sort of sign." He meowed, not sure he trusted his words. StarClan hadn't talked to the medicine cat in a while, but maybe... Just maybe, at a crisis like this, they will help out.

Cookie sighed. "I've tried taking it off, but I just can't." The fæ pulled hard at it but it wouldn't rip.

The fur on the back of Maplefoots neck stoof straight up in embarrassment, her face still red. She cleared her throat and attempted to regain her posture. She got to her paws and padded back into the den, swaying heavily from side to side. The dizziness was stubborn; it was worse when she woke up but was still strong as she went along. Her balance seemed to be wiped away from her by Starclan itself. She muttered a soft apoplogy before insisting, "No, I just need some water, my throat is so dry..."

Goldenheartgently smiled towards Shadowpaw. "Don't worry about it." she meowed. The she-cat continued to walk across the grassy lane separated by trees when she came to a sudden halt. In front of them was a large field where it seemed very suspicious. It was surrounded by bushes and faintly inside she spotted skinny but tall green stalks popping out the ground, with a golden like crystal poking out top. "What is this..?" she questioned, trying to take her eyes off what was in front of her but it was extremely difficult. With such wonders, one just can not believe what lies ahead of them.

Pepperfrost nodded. "I understand, but," she paused "I have the tiniest feeling that the Crystal Rapids have something to do with this." She remembered how quite a few of her patients had had some involvement in the Crystal Rapids before they needed her help. But if the Crystal Rapids were to blame, where would they get their water? Oh StarClan, please, just give me a sign! Pepperfrost begged, looking up at the sky with desperate eyes. The medicine cat refused to believe it was the river causing this, and that it was more likely fumes from the Thunderpath, and so she shook off her concern.

The tom shrugged. He looked at his paws wanting Deadfoot or even Dewpaw keeping him company; someone.
He asked himself, Is this what loneliness is?
"No." He responded in a huff accidentally out loud.
I can't be lonely if no one else is around...
One word he said stuck in his head; is.
He pondered about the situation. He pondered about what he was feeling because quite frankly, he didn't know.
He starred bleakly into the horizon.

Goldenheart laughed gently at his joke but then turned back to Shadowpaw who seemed serious. "I think it's twoleg-worthy however.." she meowed, hoping to get her point across. "We should tell Brindlestar."
