Goldenheart led the way into the heart of the forest where there usually was a lot more prey. "Let's continue this way," she mumbled. "Hopefully we will find something else."

Pepperfrost took two poppy seeds from their place and returned to Maplefoot. "The feverfew I gave you will probably help too, but here. These may work too." She meowed as she pushed the seeds towards the sick cat. "I'm just going to look for Brindlestar." She mewed as she left the den. Spotting the leader, she padded over. "Brindlestar? Can I talk to you?" The medicine cat asked.

Snowcloud entered camp and dropped her catch on the pile. She gave Beetlenose a short nod in farewell before entering the warrior's den. She ignored Twigfall and Littledove and just flopped into her nest, exhausted.

Shadowpaw followed in complete silence. The tom hissed and jumped backwards as something pinched his tail. His fur fluffed out as a pale grey shadow had its fingers wrapped around his tail. He took his tail back and shivered as the shadow ran through his fur and blew cold breath on his nose. He threw a paw out but it vanished into thin air before his claws made contact.

Dewpaw looked across at Russetwind but stayed where she was. The apprentice got up and sighed, her head spinning. She stumbled across to the apprentice's den and flopped onto her nest which was quite near the entrance. She let out a large groan and sat up. Licking a paw, the molly turned her head to look out the den. From here on out, she was a spectator. She promised herself she wouldn't get involved.

Twigfall nodded. It was busier than ever, and the forest was beginning to seem like a threat. "I'm just baffled as to what caused it." He meowed as he licked a paw and drew it across his ear.

Cookie's heart raced as he leaned forward to nuzzle her. She felt her cheeks burn as she blushed and she didn't try to hide it for that would just be hopeless. "Are you sure..? I mean..." The kittypet trailed off, unsure on what to say. Her collar rubbed and she tugged at it with a claw for a split second before leaving it alone.

She nodded to the fæ.
Maybe she was putting too much pressure on her?
Was it possible to find a cure for the sickness?

Russetwind-
He exhaled sharply.
He dicided to take a walk near the Silver Rapids to clear his mind.
He looked down at the water, a little timid.
He shook his head.
Was this the same water that he had drank from to make his pass out?
The water faded into the image of what looked like blood.
"Just my imagination..." He breathed and the image faded but the horror on his face was stuck.

Goldenheart turned back in fright. "What's going on Shadowpaw? Why are you yelling like that?" she exclaimed. "Are you okay?" She parsed her lips in fright. She knew something had to be wrong with her apprentice. "If somethings wrong," she meowed softly. "I want to know." The deputy cat didn't want to frighten the tom into telling her who already seemed on the end of his fur.

Pepperfrost sat beside the leader and meowed. "I really need to know what caused this sickness, but I'm unsure how," she meowed. After a sigh, she continued "this sickness is eating away at my herbs, and with leafbare on its way, soon I won't be able to collect as many." The medicine cat looked at Brindlestar after a small while. "Got any ideas?" She asked.

Goldenheart nodded and brushed her tail on the apprentices flank to soothe him. "I'm sorry I kept bugging you about it," she whispered back. "Thanks for trusting me though." The mentor turned away from Shadowpaw and took in a breath of air again slowly letting it fill her lungs. "I smell something.." she mumbled slowly, tracing through the scent. "It smells like a hare."

Goldenheart smiled back at the apprentice while looking around. The hare she smelt was rather stale, perhaps a few hours old but she thought to follow it.
"Gingersky, Shadowpaw, I smell a hare. Follow me." she whispered and turned right, making her way through the tall, evergreen trees of AlpineClan territory while trying to hang on to her energy.

"No, sadly. Do you know where Goldenheart is?" She twitched her tail in worry.
She added quickly, "And as for your herbs, Victorpaw should be helping you, is he not?"
Without waiting for a response she meowed as if she knew the answer, "Get some other apprentice to help you."
