Goldenheart walked out of the den, slowly making her way towards the fresh-kill pile. What happens if it's infected with the disease? she thought dramatically, slightly nudging a mouse with her agile paw. Maybe I should.. go get some fresh prey?

Pepperfrost brushed her tail along Russetwind's belly in a comforting manner. "Please Russetwind, eat the feverfew, it will help." She murmured gently.

Snowcloud chuckled lightly. Beetlenose was a cat she felt shared her humour, it was nice. "I enjoy spending time with you Beetlenose." She whispered gently.

Shadowpaw saw Goldenheart watching the prey. "I will come hunting with you, that is if you want me to come." The small apprentice mewed, trying to ignore the shadow that was standing behind the warrior and laughing.

Dewpaw looked at Russetwind with scared eyes. "You will be OK Russetwind, I promise." She whispered, unsure that he heard.

Twigfall picked up his speed as the camp grew closer. He looked behind to see if Vixenpaw was following every so often. Pepperfrost would need this moss as soon as possible.

Cookie walked beside Smallfoot. Her heart pounding as his side pressed against her's. Soon twolegplace came into view and she saw her twoleg nest. Leaping onto the fence, she turned her head. "See you tomorrow, at sunrise?" Before jumping onto the soft grass inside the garden. The fæ stepped inside the kitty door to see her twoleg filling her bowl. "I was a little late." Her house folk said. The kitty pet rubbed against her owner's leg affectionately and received a rub across her fur on return. She licked up some of the food and bounded into the living room and jumped onto her favourite armchair. The small she cat couldn't get Smallfoot out of her head. His eyes, his voice, his warm fur. It was glued to her brain.

Victorpaw was starting a new day in the life of being an apprentice to the one and only Pepperfrost. He had once dreamed of becoming a warrior himself, but the blank gaze that viewed the world was his handicap. The hunting and fighting world seemed to have no room for the blind, but the medicine one had welcomed him, though it was an apprenticeship taken on later than usual, considering he was 10 moons old rather than six. Slinking up to the larger ragdoll, ears not quite flat but unsure, Victorpaw mewed out, "Pepperfrost? It's me... Your, your new apprentice?"

He barely heard Snowcloud's little whisper and he was a little surprised. "Really? No really told me that before.. anyways, you're great company too" He said happily.

Whisperfur was about to reply to Duskshade when she heard her sisters name. Her head snapped up to see the frightened face of Firepaw, Maplefoots apprentice. Her heart sunk to the bottom of her paws. "Great Starclan..." She turned to Duskshade, "Go find Pepperfrost and alert Brindlestar." She raced over to Firepaw and tried to calm her down. "Take me to her," she mewed. Chances were that her sister was too heavy for her to be easily carried but herself, but she would have to try.

FernWatcher couldn't take watching these sick cats even though RussetWind was awake. StoneHeart was still silent. Nor did he want to just go into the warriors den and sleep. So he decided to go for a quick walk and be back as soon as possible. The large warrior lifted himself, shook his fur, and moved on over to the camp entrance. Once he was out of camp something lifted. Just a couple of tail lengths from the camp you feel like you get just a bit more hope for the clan and the sick cats. The tom took a couple of soft breaths before heading off into some random direction. His paws decided to go to the Crystal Rapids and he let them.

VixenPaw was looking down at the ground with her soaked moss in her mouth. She only lifted her head again when she felt that feeling that made her fur on her back stand up. That feeling when you sense someone is looking at you. That light prickling in your pelt. She looked up at TwigFall. "Let's go," she meowed and quickly padded to the camp and eventually inside.

Pepperfrost turned and saw her apprentice Victorpaw stood behind her. "Oh Victorpaw! Thank StarClan you are here! I need you to help me with these sick cats. Can you see to Stoneheart while I look at Russetwind?" The medicine cat asked gently. "I you need anything, just call me." The fæ meowed as she turned back to Russetwind.

Snowcloud grunted happily. "Thank you, it means a lot." She smiled and licked his cheek in a playful manner.

Cookie yawned as sleep began to crawl into her body. She got up and climbed up the stairs and into her housefolk's bedroom. The chocolate tortoiseshell slunked into her basket and curled up, closing her eyes and drifting into a light sleep.

Trembling she lead WhisperFur into the direction of her sister. She began to run, her rabbit long forgotten about. She stopped in front of her mentor, turning away from her limp body she couldn't bare to look at her.

His ears perked up with alarm. Standing up he sprinted to the medicine cat's den. "PepperFrost! Brindlestar! FirePaw thinks MapleFoot has the sickness!" He panicked, eyes wide fur bristling with alarm.
