Goldenheart dug her large talons under the earthen ground, it pulling against the root. "Just.. one.. more.. TUG!" The she-cat tumbled backwards with the burdock root on her chest. "I'm fine I think." she mumbled. Her short fur covered legs pushed her upwards and she shook her pelt gently and licked it smooth.

She growled and dug her claws in the ground, "All cats have different scents, it doesn't matter hers is different!" She snapped at them. "Cant you two see the way she looks at him?" She had watched the kittypet look at Smallfoot her eyes held something Deadtail thought she was feeling herself. She looked up at Russetwind hoping he could see the type of caring for him in her own eyes.

Smallfoot
He sat down and wrapped his tail neatly over his paws, "Well now I know your name.." He purred and looked at Cookie, "I like it. It's cute."

Russetwind-

His tone rang loud, "Kittypets have feelings only for their twolegs!
You're fine with a kittypet joining this clan?
Why don't you become a kittypet yourself since you love the way twolegs smell!
Do you know what harm twolegs can cause?" His ears began to grow hot.
His mind flashed with images of one of his kin-
dead at the side of the road from a twoleg monster.
"I don't want you to get hurt like the way she did...
I couldn't live with myself if you died because I didn't protect you!
Do you think that's fair to me? For me to suffer
because of your death? I couldn't go through with that again!"
His voice was now tearing apart and worst of all
he hadn't even know what he had said in front of everyone.

She stared in horror at him, "Russetwind..." She whispered gently, stepping towards him. She pressed her nose to his and stared in his eyes, "You won't lose me and you can't.. Because I'm not going anywhere.." Stepping closer she pressed her shoulder to his, looking over her shoulder.

Russetwind-
"I can't go through with that again..." He was trembling as he breathed out the soft words.
He felt her touch: soft and warm.
"Don't leave me like she did, please, no matter what." He closed his eyes and curled his tail around her bob.
He shook his head, her voice ringing in his ears. Her sweet, beautiful, voice.
He imagined her as his sister and thought they were the same for a second.
"I was left in the dark... I don't want to go through with that, not again..." His voice shaky as he repeated.

"You won't.." She wasn't sure what he was talking about but she was trying to calm him down. She brushed her cheek on his chest and purred brightly, "I really really like you Russetwind..."

(I didn't really have a clue what to say x3)

"I really really like you too." He rested his head on her back.
"You probably have no idea what I was talking about, did you?"
He took his head off her back and gave her a little nudge.
His eyes wandered to Stoneheart.
"I still object to the idea of a kittypet joining the clan."

She blinked at him, "No I don't and what if I was a kittypet? And you found me lost in the woods?" She sat down and tilted her head. The she cat glanced at her brother who seemed to lost in looking at the kittypet.

Stoneheart
He had lost interest in his sister and Russetwind, his eyes were on the kittypet. His ears were perked and turned to them, so he heard her name, "Cookie." he tested out the name. Weird, but I'm cool with it..

"Would you really want me to answer that?" His ears folded back once she looked at her brother.
"Anyways it's my turn to ask a question, isn't it?" He teased though, he really felt like he hadn't
answered hers to begin with.

She giggled and nodded, "Go for it!" she stood and bounced up and down slightly. Her eyes wide and a smile on her small muzzle. She didn't really mind if he answered her question, anything for him to talk to her made her happy. Just one word and her heart sped up, and her day was better.
