"I'm Ash, and that's Alessa." she said, pointing to the Poochyena. Alessa went over to Indium and sat by his feet. Ash glanced over to Tyson and nodded. "Yeah, you can tag along." she said.
Tyson jumped for joy, "YES!!!! Did you hear that Cheri!? We're going to travel with them! YEAH!!"
Her olive green eyes sparkled with delight at the news, "Vulpix~!!"
"Man, this is great! Thanks a bunch, my name's Tyson! Or Ty, whatever works for you! And I bet you know her name already, Cheri!" he said, setting down his Vulpix. Cheri then padded over to Ashley and nuzzled her leg, greeting her in a friendly manner, "Vul~!"
Ash nodded and petted Cheri. Alessa looked back at her trainer and flicked her tail. "I think we're all ready to go, right?" she asked, going over and picking up Alessa.
"One more thing." Indium laughed, pulling out four Pokeballs. "Since we're all going to be traveling together..." He released the rest of his pokemon. "This is Thorium, Aluminium, Magnesium, and Zirconium." All of them did their own versions of saying hello except Zirconium. The Eelectross pointedly ignored everyone around him in favor of heading straight for Neon and settling down beside her.
"Wow, they all look so tough." said Ash, looking each of the new Pokemon over. Alessa hopped up into Ash's arms. Ash out her Pokemon into her knapsack, then sighed happily. "This is gonna be great..." she grinned.
"I'd hope they do." Indium chuckled softly before returning all but Zirconium and Neon. The two didn't get as much time together as they probably wanted. "I'm an electric type trainer, if you hadn't noticed by now." He noted, sticking his hands into his pockets.
"I did notice." said Ash, laughing some. She noticed how close Neon and Zirconium were. "Are they together?" she asked, "Because if they are, that's adorable." Alessa rested her head on Ash's shoulder.
Indium nodded. "They are. Neon also happens to be the only one of my Pokemon Zirconium can stand being around for more than five seconds." He added with a chuckle. "They're my usual team for double battles."
"Is he just a grump?" she asked. Alessa looked at the couple and tilted her head some. It was strange to see an eel-like Pokemon with a thunder-dog Pokemon; she had only been around Mightyena before becoming Ash's Pokemon. "How'd you guys get so close?" asked Alessa, a bit curious.
"He's extremely competitive." Indium answered. "Tends to take everything as a challenge. He was different with Neon though, I never could figure out why." He shrugged slightly. "She tends to mellow him out a bit when she's nearby though. That's useful in double battles. Teamwork is important."
"She looked pathetic and I couldn't help but take her under my theoretical wing." Zirconium huffed, the attempt at seeming tough weak at best. Neon chuckled softly. "I was abandoned by my original trainer a couple years ago." She clarified. "Zirco was the first of the team to try to cheer me up."
