Xavier's hears perked. His instinct was to run, but he wanted to help, even if that animal might be a dead deer... he wanted to save the rest of it. He ran and howled loudly at the hunters.

Mika flinched, that was Xaviers howl. Her eyes panicked when she saw the gun pointing straight for her. She gulped and closed her eyes. There was a bang. She gritted her teeth and fell to the ground.

((she won't die, but she's badly wounded and they are about to kill her by shootig her again))

Xavier jumped and grabbed the hunter's head. He shook vigorously and vicously. He growled and pushed the others to the ground. He stood over Mika as if saying *Get through me first*

Mikas eyes were foggy and unfoucsed but she could see that most of the hunters had gone, from fear. Mika could JUST see Xavier, and he looked so brave..like a guardian angel..

Xavier growled and bit the other hunters that remained. He pulled away their rifles and threw them. He was going to stand over Mika if it took him dieing.

There was an almost silence. Mika could hear her own breathing, deep and ragged. The hunters had gone. She whimpered softly.

Kutari ran to them. "I can fix this." She went to get herbs.
