Oceanpaw beamed and followed the medicine cat out of the camp, looking around for dark, spiky bushes, thistles and rivers with the potential watermint. ''Shadowfall, where should I look first?'' she mewed gently, glancing around again to check.

Snowfur // Nightflower
Snowfur stifled a soft sigh. Hunting was the last thing she really wanted to do after that nightmare but it'd be rude to decline such a friendly request, so instead she forced herself to visibly perk up. She plastered on a smile and nodded, finally lifting up her head. If hunting also avoided more questions that she couldn't answer, all the better. She turned slightly towards the entrance, flicking her tail towards it as if asking 'wanna go now?'


Foxpaw // Redpaw

"Yea. See ya." Foxpaw watched the she-cat leave with a sigh. After a moment he got to his paws and followed her out the den, blinking in the sunlight and enjoying the sudden warmth on his ginger fur. Glancing around he spotted Redpaw sitting alone and deciding he didn't want to go and bother Starlingfeather just yet he padded up to his fellow apprentice. "Hey there!" he mewed cheerfully.

Shallowfall flicked her tail to Oceanpaw. "Just here, there is a large patch." The silver tabby lead her down the stream, to where a large clump of watermint was growing close to the water's edge.

Oceαɴpαw // Medιcιɴe Appreɴтιce

Oceanpaw listened to the directions and bounded over to the large, flowing river where the watermint was clumped at the edge. She gathered it nimbly, careful not damage it and turned back to Shadowfall. ''Is this enough, Shadowfall?''

Lionstar

Lionstar perked his ears as a familiar voice called to him. "Oh, hello Shadowcast. Just thinking of who's best to come on the patrols is all." The golden tom mewed, pouncing off of the Highledge so he wouldn't be yelling over to the black-and-white tom. "How about you? Anything exciting happen this morning?" Despite his new status, Lionstar was still struggling to act formal. He still felt like a warrior. The tabby hoped that was normal, it had been only a quarter-moon since he was made a leader, after all.

Applepaw

Applepaw sighed, finally giving in. "I-i-it's just.... My parents died in that flood and...." The light-ginger she-cat gave a short pause before continuing. She tried not to get emotional, yet there was clear sadness in her voice. "...I-I guess I'm just having a h-hard time getting over it is all." She finished. It felt like a big stone had been lifted off of her shoulders. The young apprentice was glad to finally get this off of her chest.

Starlingfeather

The black and white tom was off in a deep sleep, dreaming of doing his favorite thing: hunting. Starlingfeather was then interrupted as he woke, daybreak approaching the sky. Curse that darned sun... He thought. The tom hated being an early bird, he wanted to sleep in as much as he could. Though the warrior couldn't help getting up when the sun did, it was like a natural instinct.

The she-cat was in shock by the words Applepaw had said. Was this really true? I feel..bad for her. She had thought. For the first time, she felt bad for someone else excluding herself. That's terrible.. The she-cat's amber eyes gave a sad gaze upon Applepaw. I shouldn't have asked what's wrong..I'm sorry for your sorrow. She sighed, thinking of her own parent's death and her two siblings.

Sunpaw // excited

Sunpaw bounded out of the apprentice's den, recently woken from a nap and ready to do anything required of her. She saw Lionstar up on top of the camp, and smiled at him. She was quickly distracted by a butterfly wondering across her nose and sight, so she naturally had to chase it.
Come.... On! she thought as she wiggled her haunches and prepared to pounce. The butterfly moved from its resting place a mini second before she got there, and her tail swished back and forth. She was determined to catch that butterfly, if it was the last thing she'd do!

Shallowfall nodded to Oceanpaw. That should be enough, I'm sure the marigold isn't far from here." So medicine cat flicked her tail and lead her apprentice outward from the river.

Shadowcast looked at his leader. Nothing exciting, I've just woken up and looking for something to do." He mewed, drawing a smiling cat in the earth with a paw then wiping away his masterpiece.

Spottedflower poked her head into the elder's den. Twigpelt? Can I talk to you?" The fluffy she cat asked with a light chuckle and warm smile.

Timberfall frowned with boredom. She wanted to go on a patrol, but she would have to wait to be chosen. If she was chosen.

Redpaw stood up at the sight of Sunpaw. "Hi Sunpaw!" He calle running over to her.

Darkpaw looked around. All cats seemed to be distracted, maybe he could go after all… Just maybe. He began to quietly move towards the entrance to camp, heart thudding in his throat.

Sunpaw looked yp from her chase, and her tail raised immediately. She saw Redpaw bounding over here, and was waving his tail. "Hi, Redpaw! How are you?" She asked excitedly and politely, her tail slowly swishing back and forth, just barely dragging over the earth.
