Amberfall starred in disbelief as the deputy padded off. She didn't even get a chance to speak! "Stonestare! You didn't even give me a chance to speak!" The ginger furred she-cat yelled, her fur bristling and her hackles rising. "It's not like I was trying to take your place! Are you really that foolish?"

Stonestare turned her hackled raised and a deep growl rumbled from her throat "I am not foolish, what is is taking all of the Warriors and leaving the camp unguarded. Even if no cats are threatening us now doesn't mean they won't eventually and we need what we have" stonestare couldn't believe amberfall had questioned her like that. She wanted to claw the she-cat but held back knowing that if she did froststar would not be pleased. Stonestare sat with her tail curled around her paws tightly satisfied with her answer

" I was not taking all the warriors! I only asked Aspencloud, Doenose, and I might just add Willowpaw to the patrol! Is that taking all of the warriors in the clan?" She hissed, her eyes, focused only on the deputy. Is she a blind fool?, she thought, ready to battle Stonestare, but of course, Froststar would see them both fighting! She curled her lips into a snarl, her claws unsheathing, sinking them into the earth, crouching down.

Stonestare glared her eyes slits of pure anger. This was the state that had given her her name as most cats felt uncomfortable at her gaze as if her icy blue eyes bore into your soul. "Three warriors and one apprentice. That seems to be enough" stonestare didn't brake eye contact "my mistake" her light gray tail lashing back and forth, her claws digging into the earth making her paws itch for battle. Stonestare held her tongue waiting for the younger warrior to brake the gaze.

The fae backed away a couple of steps, afraid of the cold gaze. However, she did not break eye contact with Stonestare. "Well you made a pretty stupid mistake indeed." She shot back, her Amber eyes blazing with anger. "I'm still very surprised that a brave leader,like Froststar, would choose such a flea-brained deputy, like you." She growled, the urge to immediately attack her. Amberfall would not care if she was banished from the clan for attacking Stonestare. All she wanted to see was Stonestare gone from the clan.

Stonestare took a few paces closer to the she-cat not ready to back down to a new warrior "such a big mouth for such a young warrior. Didn't your mentor ever teach you to respect your elders?" She hissed her back arched and ears flat. "Besides froststar knows what's best for the clan, unlike you. You haven't even had your own apprentice yet! Don't talk to me about being flee brained when you haven't yet experienced what it's like looking out for other cats!" Stonestare stuck her face so close to amberfall that she could smell her musky breath.

Once Froststar had seen Spottedwing and Palebreeze off, she turned around, noticing that her deputy was awake. She narrowed her eyes, noticing the bristling fur and glares. She slowly padded over to Stonestare and Amberfall.
"Hello Stonestare, Amberfall. Is there a problem here?" She asked.

Stonestare turned around to look at froststar "hello froststar, no no problem. We were just discussing patrols for the day" she meowed letting her fur lie flat again.

Amberfall, quickly nodded in agreement. "Discussing just our patrols." She looked back at Doenose and Aspenflood. "There is no problem." She flattened her ears, looking at Stonestare, snarling at her quietly.

Froststar narrowed her eyes but just nodded. "Alright," she meowed. "I'll leave you to finish your discussion, then." She swished her tail in farewell, heading towards the camp exit, slipping out for a quick breath of air, thinking about her clanmate and deputy.
