Froststar padded out of her den, the sun still low in the sky. She stretched in the musty air of the cave where they had their camp.
Froststar looked around, noticing with satisfaction that the fresh kill pile wasn't too low; thank StarClan for Green Leaf! As she settled down to groom, her gaze surveyed the cave, her eyes seeking out her clanmates. It was almost time for the patrols to go out.

The she-cat was already awake. Amberfall was in the middle of camp, her eyes darting around camp, feeling a bit lonely. She looked over at the leader's den, starring at it, hesitating to go there. She got onto her paws, sprinting over to the leader's den. Froststar! She mewled, slowing her sprint to a walk, not walking anymore, but just standing near the leader's den.

She lazily stumbled out of the den, yawning, as she normally did. Blinking, she yawned once more and continued to walk into camp, plopping herself down on a rock, stretching ever so slightly. "Hm, today's not that bad, ain't it..?" she mumbled to no one in particular.

Dustpaw
He padded out into the camp, looking around. It was still early. Would they end up hunting? Or patrolling the border? He wasn't sure, but he didn't exactly care either.

Froststar turned and swished her tail in greeting at Amberfall. "Hello." She purred, nodding at her clanmate. "You're up early. Not many others are up yet." She flicked her ear towards Aspenflood and Dustpaw.

As she had looked at her leader, she greeted Froststar as well.Hello. I know I'm a bit up earlier, I was just wondering.. She hesitated, before saying what she was thinking. I was wondering if I could lead a hunting patrol, today.

Froststar pricked her ears. "Usually the deputy decides, but I think I can order a patrol this once. I'm not an elder yet!" She meowed playfully, curing her tail over her paws. "Sure, you can lead a hunting patrol!" She pointed at Aspenflood and Dustpaw with her tail. "You can take some cats who are already awake. Decide where yoh want to hunt, it's up to you."

She nodded, smiling. As the she-cat had padded away from the leader's den, she jumped up in happiness. Finally! I can lead a hunting patrol, she thought, looking at Aspenflood, one of her clanmates, on a rock. Amberfall had padded over to the female, almost tripping on a small rock. As she finally got to Aspenflood, she had mewled, Aspenflood, wanna go on a hunting patrol?

Froststar watched them for a few heartbeats before leaping up onto the Meeting Rock, where she lay down to watch over her camp, waiting for the rest of her cats to wake up.
