"Oh really?" Pineheart's eyes grew slightly wider with surprise. He cast a quick glance over at his leader to see him sitting with Skystorm and a few apprentices. "I hadn't noticed. Now that you mention it though they have been spending a lot of time together. Perhaps you are right." The tom purred his words and spoke in a soft tone. He was genuinely happy to hear that the two might have found happiness in one another.

Since it appeared as if everything was alright and everyone was happy, Foxpaw grinned and let out a soft purr. He was a bit curious as to what Fadedstar was talking about needing to tell Moonpaw and her sibling so he decided to stay and watch the others and waited to see what was going to happen. It hadn't even crossed the apprentice's mind that they might be wanting to talk alone.

Cantersky nodded, happy he agreed as well. She then wondered if he had someone special already. She wasn't sure if it would be appropriate to ask such a question after only meeting him today, but maybe it was worth a try. She locked eyes with him and said, "Do you have anyone special?" She almost regretted even asking, but she hoped that maybe she could hide her true reasons for asking a question like this, like maybe because it was a question that fit with the subject? Her ears were warm. She felt heat rush to her face. Oh, why did I bother to ask? I'm such a mousebrain.

The she-cat's question caught him very much off guard. "I-er, no?" Pineheart's response didn't sound all too solid and he had phrased it almost like a question. Suddenly he shook his head and went on, "I mean, if you're asking what I think you're asking then no. I have no one special in the way that Skystorm seems to be special for Fadedstar. If thats what you mean." The tom's ears were angled ever so slightly backwards to display his current nervous mood and he was looking off to the side. "Uh, what about you?"

Cantersky grinned playfully and nodded at him.
"Alright, that's good I guess?" She wasn't sure how she should have replied but continued, "And I don't either. Not like a mate or anything. But I think a crush...." She trailed off looking over at Skystorm and the others. Her cheeks started to get warm again. Cantersky looked back at him, feeling brave. She stood and licked his ear gently, then sat back down, smiling.
"Let's go see what Fadedstar and Skystorm are up to." She offered and stood again, waiting for him to follow.

Fuzzpaw's gaze drifts from Fadedstar, to Skystorm, and she says, "What?" She turns around for a split second, then turns back. "WHAT?" She's angry now. "So soon after Lightningclaws' death? Whats, WRONG with you?" She narrows her eyes at Skystorm. "You think I'm happy about this? You think.." Her voice trails off. "UGH!" She says, and runs off. She doesn't care about the desperate look in her mother's eyes. She betrayed her. BETRAYED her.

Slowly, Pineheart's ears began to lower until they were pressed against his head. What did she mean she had a crush? Did this cat like her back? He couldn't help but hope it was a one-sided brief thing so that he might have a chance in the future. Of course he also knew just how selfish that made him to wish for the unhappiness of another. It was the yelling of Fuzzpaw that reminded him that Cantersky had suggested checking up on Fadedstar and Skystorm. "I don't think we should interrupt." Pineheart muttered a response to her absentmindedly, still thinking about what she said.

Foxpaw blinked, watching Fuzzpaw storm off. "Wow." He said not to anyone in particular. The surprise of his denmate's outburst was very fleeting though and soon he found himself growing bored of just sitting around again. The ginger apprentice began to lightly nudge Moonpaw's shoulder in an attempt to get her to play with him.
