nightsky woke up and padded out side and gasped ''dear starclan what happened '' she muttered under her breath

shroudedkit and starkit bounded around camp pretending to run from silverkit

Wishpaw nosed carefully out of the den. The air smelt wet and thick with moist, but it didn't look like it was gonna rain again. The kit padded her way round to the nearest puddle, and stuck a paw in it. The water went up to her shoulder.
"Agh!" she cried out. "It's deep!"

Graypaw had a nice rest in the apprentice den and she now padded out into camp, the first signs of dawn in the sky. She looked over at the kits playing around and smiled, it was good to be home. She walked over to Wishpaw and couldn't help but give a twitch of her whiskers, "Sorry, it's just you look funny with your leg into a puddle that goes all the way up to your shoulder." She said with a laugh, her eyes apologetic. She padded forward and helped her out of it.

Shadowheart nodded and padded back to camp, passing by Nightsky on his way and he mewed a greeting. No one was up when he padded through the gorse barrier. He frowned and padded to Hawkstar's den and peered inside, but still no one. Must still be in the medicine cat den. He thought and quickly padded into it. He sighed in relief when he saw everyone was there that should be, "Hawkstar, Ravenfeather and I have important news that must be heard now." He said into the large toms ear.

Hawkstar groaned and pushed himself up onto his paws, "Alright, lets go in my den." He mumbled with a yawn. He led the way and sat down on his moss nest, looking at the two cats in his den. "Tell me, what is so urgent that you must tell me at the first sign of dawn?" He asked, looking at Ravenfeather.

Ravenfeather replied. "There was a huge flood last night and most of our land is under water except for a few high spots. Brookclan is also under water but not as much. I noticed as there are so few spots of high land, there is probably a good bit of fresh kill in the uncovered areas around camp. And unless you think otherwise, Shadowheart and I think the best choice would be to have all the patrols doing hunting." Ravenfeather suggested as she finished her report.

Hawkstar was shocked, "Most of our territory.... under water? That's never happened before.." He mewed quietly. He shook his head slowly then looked up at the cats, "Yes, I agree. We should focus all patrols on hunting, Green-leaf is almost over. You two may go hunting together, just bring Havenpaw with you." He said with a nod. He flicked his tail to show that the meeting was over and curled up in his nest.

Shadowheart dipped his head in respect and backed out of the den. "I'll get Havenpaw." He mewed and raced to the apprentice den, "Havenpaw, wake up. Time for hunting." He called into the den then padded back to stand next to Ravenfeather. When the black apprentice came out of the den he turned to the she-cat beside him and signaled that she should lead the way.

Ravenfeather nodded and went north out of the camp, walking with very light steps. She paused as she saw a rabbit eating in front of her. She walked slowly behind it and pounced, biting the rabbit's neck and killing it.

"Good catch." Shadowheart said then turned to Havenpaw, "I've taught you how to hunt, now I want to see what needs improvement. I'm sending you on a solo hunting mission to catch as much prey as you can." He told her with a smile and watched as she raced away. "Alright now it's my turn." He said softly lowering himself to the ground and moving as swift and softly as the wind as he came up to a nice plump hare. He jumped forward and gave chase to the hare, reaching out a paw to trip it. It tumbled and Shadowheart pounced on top, quickly finishing it off. "How's that for a piece of fresh-kill!" He boasted as he padded back to Ravenfeather.

"It's big all right, but it looks a little old so an easy catch." Ravenfeather teases him.

Shadowheart hissed playfully and reached out to cuff her ear softly. He sniffed the air and searched for more prey, he quickly scented a squirrel stranded on a island. He smiled and swam over to it, of course it tried to get away, but he caught it. He swam back, holding his head high to not get the squirrel anymore wetter than it was. He dropped it next to his hare.

Wishpaw let Greypaw ((sorry, I'm english you see xD)) help her out of the puddle, then pulled her leg away.
"Hey, I could have helped myself!" she meowed angrily, then padded quickly to the camp entrance and peeked outside. There were more puddles in random places.
"That doesn't look good," she mewed.
