Hawkstar purred at Desertdawn's teasing and he looked proudly at Havenflame. "Do you have an idea of how many?" He asked, wondering what his new grandkits would look like. "Looks like the apprentice ceremony will have to wait until tonight. Perhaps it's better that way." He mewed and got to his paws. "Crowpaw? Will you help bury Finchsong?" He asked softly; he knew the young tom hadn't left her side the whole night. Hawkstar padded forward and grabbed Harefoot's scruff, tears welling up in his eyes as he carried him outside of camp, Crowpaw right behind him.
--------------------
Crowpaw carried Finchsong carefully, and it was easy enough since she was so small. He gently laid her down and silently helped Hawkstar dig the deep graves, and he felt a deep cold hole being dug where his heart used to be. When it was deep enough they laid the two warriors in the hole, covering it quickly. He stared at the new pile of fresh soil, numb. He finally sighed and turned his back to where his love was buried and padded back to his family inside camp.
---------------
Littleclaw sniffed at the herbs suspiciously, "New herbs? Why do I need these? Catmint works just fine!" She mewed stubbornly, pushing away the new herbs with her paw. "They smell gross anyway." She huffed and turned to lap up some water from a shallow underground stream running against the wall of the cave.
---------------------
Graydawn started laughing and shook her head, "Doomsday isn't
that bad!" She teased, her whiskers twitching. "Don't be sorry, I'm happy to talk! I'm tired of just having Stardust and Mousetail to talk to." She called sweetly, her eyes flicking playfully over to her denmate. She smiled brightly and turned her attention back to Brambleheart, her ears flicked forward in a gesture for him to go on.
-------------------
Mousetail rumbled with laughter and he turned to Stardust, "Yes, it's a blessing to have so many kits in the Clan. It's sad to hear that about our son, but I hate to say I would love his company. I'm sure you she-cats must be tired of me hovering around in here all the time." He purred, but turned his head when Dawnstar called a meeting. "I'll be right back!" Mousetail mewed and padded out into the clearing.
--------------------
Sparrowpaw padded forward to sit into the front of the crowd, looking hopefully at Dawnstar. Excitement surged through his pelt and he felt Mapleleaf start to groom him quickly. "Mom!" He complained loudly, his ears flattening with embarrassment, “I can do it!"
---------------------
Mapleleaf purred loudly, "Oh, I know." She mewed and took her place at the bottom of highrock. She held her head high and gazed up at her leader expectantly.
((Hey everyone! I have an idea in honor of Instinct's first birthday that's coming up soon. I have an idea of writing the story of how MistClan and BrookClan began! What does everyone think? I've already written a bit, and if everyone thinks it's a good idea I could give a sneak peak. ^^))
